Lileks hits another one out of the ballpark.

No new words in this one but James should have mentioned that the Islamo-Fascists in the Philippines go by the acronym MILF.

Of course, the author is correct that opinions won't be changing. The only real issue here is who had a (D) behind their name and who has an (R). It almost makes one wonder whether some Democrats would like to see another successful attack on U.S. soil so that they can't point to an "abysmal failure" for their own political purposes.

"But don't expect opinions to change; the hard left simply wants to glue horns on Bush, and if that means Saddam gets a bent rusty halo, well, it's collateral damage."

YEP! The loony left will march farther into Captain Ahab like madness no matter what comes to light now.
And the same fate awaits them as poor mad Ahab.

But the Philippines didn't attack us on 9/11!

Nah, they did it in '95.

Once it became apparent that Bush was serious about draining the swamp, it suddenly became a protected wetland.

Funny.

The history of the past century, and recent actions by the left, will eventually force us to recognize Marxism and socialism as religious belief systems.

"To the left, however, the clock of history was reset the day the Supreme Court overturned Al Gore's 50-state electoral sweep, and Iraq inexplicably became a large sandy Monaco the U.S. invaded on orders from Petro-Zionist puppetmasters."

Most accurate summary of the Iraq debate.
