Punxutawney Phil was right! A gopher in Great Falls, Mont., wakes up to 10 inches of new fallen snow on the first day of spring.

Bode taught us how to ski piste: Hauling 50 feet of hose and a can of beer, the Portland Firefighters speed past a gate in a benefit slalom race at Maine's Sunday River. They won the event without spilling a drop.
