Hello, my name is Gee Bee Jr. I'm excited to do a thread for the Canteen! I hope you enjoy. I'd like to share with you how we got our dog. I'd love to hear about your pet(s)!

After years of my Mom trying to convince my Dad, we were finally going to get a dog. One day we went looking for our new dog. My Mom and I went to a shelter. We didn't find a dog. As we were driving home, I had a paper from the shelter that gave other dog shelters with phone numbers. I saw another shelter that we could visit and told my mom. My Mom said, she had enough looking for the day and the last shelter just broke her heart. We wanted to bring all the dogs home. I did talk her into calling.

My Mom called the shelter and they said, two puppies had just arrived an hour ago. We went to go see them. When we got there, Spot or as we call her now, Audie, our dog was there with her brother. We fell in love. My dad didn't want a dog but he loves her so much now. She greets him with excitement every night when he returns home. She is a Dachshund/Terrier mix. Here's a picture of our dog. Look at her eyes, they are so sweet.

I love having Audie to play with, cuddle with and take walks with. She has become a member of our family.

Yelling at me for barking...I'M A DOG, YOU NUMBSKULL!

Taking me for a walk, then not letting me check stuff out. Exactly Whose walk is this anyway?

Any trick that involves balancing food on my nose...Stop it!

Any haircut that involves bows or ribbons. Now you know why we chew Your stuff up when you're not home.

The sleight of hand, fake fetch throw. You fooled a dog! Woooo-Hooooooo! Oh, what a proud moment for the top of the food chain.

Taking me to the vet for "the big snip", then acting surprised when I Freak out every time we go back!

Dog sweaters. Hello??? Haven't you noticed the fur?

How they did gasp, when she said at least..

The Sorceress Wrenn, then did tell the friends..
"All the Fairie Queen has told you is true..
you must be told dear Archer, before your departure..
that for you the old legends still are true..
because for you and Your Knight friend, amd myself, the Wrenn
The Star League lives yet once again..

"All you have been shown, by reading the Tomes..
has it all hit home for you yet?
I too go with thee, if you ask it of me..
I will not leave thee my dear Archer Elf..
But before you leave on this quest, there are questions you must ask yourself..

It is quite amazing to me too.

Also the trip we are taking in May. Think of all the corners of the country we are coming from for a common goal of being together and celebrating a birthday (NYT) and a memorial shoot. (TC) We've never met, and yet we will be together for fun and fellowship with people we already love.
