Today was a busy day for President Bush. This morning he gave a press conference at the White House and answered reporters' questions with fire and passion (including a priceless exchange with Helen Thomas). He then welcomed Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Oval Office at the White House, and accompanied her to a social luncheon in her honor, where they enjoyed entertainment by the dance group, Moving in the Spirit, and vocal star, Denyce Graves. Later he met with Iraq and Afghanistan non-governmental organizations (with First Lady Laura in attendance as well).

No of fence to me, here once again it is a case of I respect the office but agree with little he says apart from his support of GWB over the WOT. As I have said many times half of that is because it gives him world status.

I am a life long Conservative and most of what Tony Blair says is total opposite to what I believe or want and bear in mind he is too right wing for his own party.

I get the feeling in many ways he is probably nearer to the far left of my party but many factors make him Labour. 1) Reverse snobbery he comes from a weathy upper class family. 2) Married working class but intelligent woman who is far more left wing than him 3) Only way of obtaining power which he craves Among many other things.

I've tried to. It's so hard to keep any sort of contact with them when they treat me as though I'm an idiot. Oh well. I don't really have to talk to them most of the time.

He is at work, (probably shouldn't be) but he is old school and to be honest, I'm surprised this pneumonia thing hit him this hard.

As far as a relief for me... I feel very fortunate to be able to give back to the man who gave so much to me, I look at a situation like this as an opportunity for me to say "Thank You" without uttering a word. He didn't ask me to help, I just showed up

Thanks for the analysis. I have liked him, simply because he supports our W and the WOT. I had only heard him give short pressers when he visited the US.

He is really into the global warming myth and the if there was no poverty, there would be no problems, huh? At least that's what I think he was saying.

He won't be in office much longer, correct? I hope you are able to get a more conservative leader.

President Bush is on C-span 3 right now. It's an older news conference in Crawford when Putin was here in November 2001. He looks so much younger. It will be on again at 2:43 and 7:44 AM EST----54 minutes long.

He is into the myth of educate crime out of people, he believes education will make people more responsible and be able to earn more so they will be better people. The old Liberal Party beliefs at the turn of last century.

This of course takes God and original sin out of the picture even though he claims to be a Christian. I never understand how anyone who is a Christian can hold these views.

He is well into Global warming; another social issue that he will get support from his party, pandering to the base basically.
