Today was a busy day for President Bush. This morning he gave a press conference at the White House and answered reporters' questions with fire and passion (including a priceless exchange with Helen Thomas). He then welcomed Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Oval Office at the White House, and accompanied her to a social luncheon in her honor, where they enjoyed entertainment by the dance group, Moving in the Spirit, and vocal star, Denyce Graves. Later he met with Iraq and Afghanistan non-governmental organizations (with First Lady Laura in attendance as well).
Lots and lots of expressive pictures of our feisty President today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
Not according to their online schedule. That shows it coming on at 1:29 ET and not before.
anyone???? was there a live thread during the speech in Cleveland?
I did a search but couldn't find it but seemed like there may have been one due to comments..
Hi DBC! Thanks for posting that link. I heard Rush today, but it is sometimes better to read the transcript to catch it all.
Yes , that'a good point I hadn't thought of. but I want this citing of polls exposed for the scam it is.
Even though I've never had to deal with an HMO, it sounds exactly the same as what you have in the UK.
I only got half way through before the thing shut down. I'll have to try later to pick up where it left off, but at least I got to see the whole Helen thing.
Thank you, Dr Deb. I know you understand and I appreciate it.
That is the PERFECT term!
Hmmmmm, I watched most of it at 7 est. At the end they showed the next 3 time slots and "The President" was listed at 9:50. I'll check both time slots out. I usually watch him 3 or 4 times when I can. ;*)
Lol! It's a good thing I have my own room now. Otherwise, I'd have someone looking at me like I'm whacko. You should've seen me squealing this morning when I realized the Pres was doing a press conference. I had to leave before it was done though. Stupid classes got in the way ;)
lol~ I heard Rush talk about this today and honestly, what we adore about GWB is what the media despise.
I think it was spring.. the first time I was at your home with MP...I will have to go back to archives of pix to see.
I am helping about 4 people with web pages (all from church) now & trying to work on a few other FR graphic projects when at home (which isn't too often). They can be on one of 5 external hard drives. My organization sucks
I will email them to you (probably did NOT put on the CD that I gave you of "eric stuff")
I like that one, too. I shrunk mine so as not to upset people, but I miss the large version.
Helen was the best part, IMO. That old hag was rude and he finally smacked her down.
Bill O'Reilly led with it tonight!
Some of that I knew, snugs, but as I said the HMO is not a government run entity. However, everything in American healthcare is influenced by whatever the government is doing. So if there are problems with some American HMOs, I wouldn't know if they are due to inherent problems within those private plans, or if they are due to government actions that negatively impact the HMOs, or about equal parts of both.
That's our job, IMO. I posted the internals on one particularly egregious poll, that I remember the numbers off the top of my head. ;*)
When the LAMEstream media 'manufactures' its next bogus poll and another uber conservative laments the President's lack of 'purity', we need only remember the following:
"After Appomatox, everyone remembered that they had always supported Lincoln, just as (I am told) every Steelers fan now recalls prophesying the triumph of their team in the middle of the season when the playoffs looked hopeless. Such fans, such supporters, are welcome to the party. It is human nature to lose hope in tough times and then to forget that loss when those times change. Nobody would judge such folk harshly, but better still to have been more a simple human, to have been a civilized man. It is the nature of a civilized man to remain undeterred by obstacles in pursuit of his great goals.
There are forty percent, we are told, of such men and women in this war. Arent you glad that we can always tell our children that we were in that forty percent and know it is the truth? When we look up at Rushmore and see George W. Bush there, wouldnt you be glad that before victory was obvious to even a Democrat you saw it coming? These are good days to support the President!"
[refer to my post at #95]
"...That shows it coming on at 1:29 ET and not before..." Thank you too. If that's the correct time...I won't be tuning in!zzzzzzz's LOL!
