Today was a busy day for President Bush. This morning he gave a press conference at the White House and answered reporters' questions with fire and passion (including a priceless exchange with Helen Thomas). He then welcomed Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Oval Office at the White House, and accompanied her to a social luncheon in her honor, where they enjoyed entertainment by the dance group, Moving in the Spirit, and vocal star, Denyce Graves. Later he met with Iraq and Afghanistan non-governmental organizations (with First Lady Laura in attendance as well).
Lots and lots of expressive pictures of our feisty President today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!

The thought of Helen Thomas doing a comedy routine makes my teeth and hair hurt.

Oh..........I didn't know that, Dolly! Was it springtime or summer? In summer that area is flooded with impatiens.

When we look up at Rushmore and see George W. Bush there........We can say we knew him when.

Thank you for posting that beautiful essay about the President. When I get tired of arguing with the numerous Bush-bashers on FR )most of whom I believe are democrats trying to imitate "true conservatives"), I am going to remember this beautiful essay about President Bush.
I firmly believe he will be on Rushmore...or another site along with Reagan. He is a great man, and I am proud to have worked for his election and supported him through thick and thin.

Sounds a bit like our Health Centres which are supposed to be better than the one man band family doctor but in reality they are less friendly and you rarely see the same doctor twice unless you are prepared to wait over a week to see him/her.

He probably doesn't because it would give him more fodder to use against him I don't understand. How is that?

They do sound somewhat similar but I don't know enough about ours or yours to make a definite comparison.

Thanks Justa. I'll tune in!

I worked in Germany in the late 80's. The 60ish people told me that even though Hitler got about 90% support before WWII, they couldn't find more than 30% after who would admit that they ever supported him.
History does change our opinions. GWB is right - history matters more than today's poll.
To: DrDeb
Thank you very much for posting that essay. I think it deserves a thread of its own, but I guess it'd get crappy comments from the nasty anti-Bush posters here.

When you get that feeling, ilovew, just give him a kiss on the cheek on your TV screen.

He does tell them the polls are bogus, in his own way, by telling them he pays no attention to them and that his job is to LEAD not watch polls.
Did every one catch that the mediot said, I know you don't watch the polls, but.....?
