San Diego After Action Report, Moonbat Rally 3/18/06 (photos)

San Diego moonbats came out to celebrate their moonbattiness Saturday at least 1,000 to 2,000 strong. We were a tad bit outnumbered as we only had about 25-30 proud Americans. Nonetheless, we seemed to have aggrivated them because they couldn't just pass us by without starting an argument. You know, they SAY they are patriotic but the sight of our flags really set them off! Hmmm......

We got to Balboa Park about 11:30 (their rally started about 1:00) and set up camp. Police officers were concerned about how close we were to the moonbats (I'm sure they didn't want us to get Mad Cow disease!) so they asked us to move back a bit. In the interest of peaceful demonstrations, we moved. No matter, the crazies found us and couldn't resist the allure of our American flags.

Their rally truly began when the Palestinians loudly marched in. BLECH! We decided to split our group up and some of us moved closer to the street. As "they" put the crowd to sleep with 60s love in music, we were shouting and waving our flags and signs at passing cars that were honking their support for us!

We even had two elderly ladies that stopped their car in the middle of their lane to tell us how much they appreciated us (much to the displeasure of the trolley behind them!). We had several veterans stop by to give us a thumbs up!

One exceptional moonbat came over to declare that he didn't agree with any war, even WWII and Korea! We also had a seemingly nice couple walk by and proclaim that their son had done 7 tours in Iraq and has now come back "singing a different tune". Hmmmm, 7 tours????? Um, okay. (Get the impression I don't believe them?!)

This counter protest was organized by the San Diego Protest Warriors. FReepers that attended were: SoCalPol, luvbach1, cgk, driveserve, CAluvdubya, and one FR lurker! (If I left anyone out, please let me know!) All in all, a great day! We will be back at "our" corner on Prsidents Way the first Sunday in April to counter Code Pink. Please feel free to join us!

Some of us moved to the street. The noise we generated from honking cars intruded on their hypnotic music! cgk (in red, on the right talking to SoCalPol) joined us even though she was ill! (thanks cgk!)

My goodness what a contrast! They look slovenly, unkept, unwashed, and have a sour expression on their faces.

Then we have you guys who are cleanliness personified, washed and smiling faces, combed hair .. it always amazes me .. the complete difference in appearance.

They say that appearance doesn't matter .. but it really is a reflection of what's on the inside of you.

Whenever someone says they are against any war, I know that they suffer from one of the biggest of humanity's sins: INDIFFERENCE. It's the sin that allows one to see fellow human beings being brutalized by some government, and still have the ability to want to do nothing to help, while still feeling superior.

There was a dread-head girl who walked by, I am still flummoxed over it. She was wearing very tight, low-rider pants with a belt, and when she passed us, you could see the whole top half of her bottom (think... the plumber!), and she wasn't even bending over! I was sickened and creeped out that these folks don't even know how to dress, and seem to think this display is attractive.
