The last I heard, no one knew which way they were going. Why not just take 199 through Grants Pass? Or 42? I just don't understand the attempt to take any of our back mountain roads in winter. We had 38 inches of rain in town during January and February and a lot of washed out roads.

a How about a young baby girl named Fem-a-le (because that's what the hospital put on the birth certificate !!!???!
Other emergency run stories are just as incredible but involves candles and vacumn cleaners....and patient confidientiality laws.

must not have been driving an EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL suv. They were in a Motorhome.

I think I read that they had recently moved here. Didn't know about those one lane mountain roads I guess.
Even 199 is bad enough, especially in winter driving a big RV.

Thank God they are okay.
That's rough country up there. I live in Grants Pass and often go ,ountain biking around Glendale/Graves Creek and the logging roads to Agness, and there's NO way I would ever take a motor home up in those roads in the summertime under the best of conditions, let alone in the middle of a bad snow year in winter!

My Dad had shortcuts on family road trips.
If we were in a rural area his shortcut would always terminate on a horribly rutted dirt road.
If we were within 50 miles of an urban area, we would end up touring some of the worst ghettos on Earth.

Wow. I saw them mentioned on Fox News and had given them up for dead. Nice surprise!

Me too. Thought they'd gone into a river. Blech! Finally, a happy ending! The children looked good, (for their ordeal) just a little taken aback by the press "attacking" them.

I love a happy ending...good news.

I look forward to seeing their story on "I Shouldn't Be Alive" which is a really kickass show on the Discovery Channel or The Learning Channel or one of those other channels like them.
I love that show. Discovery Channel started a second season last Friday. My favorite was the guys who found a guide to take them deep into the jungle. I think only two out of four survived.
