It was Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. They converted to Islam and seem like such peaceful people. It was the likes of them, not George W Bush, who first established the image that Islam was peaceful. And to THEM, it is.

Speaking geopolitically, I am forever grateful we have a President who was not so stupid as to declare war on every Muslim in the world just because they are Muslim. That is what far too many FReepers wanted and they can go jump in a lake of their own stupidity for all I care.

And drown in their Bush hatred at the same time...

The presser, I think, is at the White House.

The line you highlighted from my post was referencing yesterdays speech and Q & A session yesterday in Cleveland.

'24' has a more believable story line that this.

The way Rep. John Murtha was telling Russert on MTP how he would run the war, maybe Murtha is moving into the SecDef position.

lol

[Only in his own little mind.]

"... a story the White House continues to have trouble telling ..."

Really! I guess NBC doesn't know IT'S THE MEDIA WHO WON'T TELL THE STORY CORRECTLY not the WH.

The economy is roaring - and the job market is the best it's been in over 5 years - but that info is NOWHERE in the old media's playbook.

We can be thankful that terrorists are not as sophisticated as they have been on 24 the last few seasons!

While I agree they may be doing that, their strategy is to demoralize the AMERICAN PUBLIC, not the troops. THey could care less what the troops think (unless they start complaining about Bush). They want Americans to demand an end to the Iraq mission.

Since they control the media they have managed to do both.

Really! I guess NBC doesn't know IT'S THE MEDIA WHO WON'T TELL THE STORY CORRECTLY not the WH.

I spoke to David Gregory while wait for GW to speak at a Memphis rally in 2000. I asked he why he didn't tell the truth about how tax cuts increase revenue to the treasury. He told me it's not my job. I was too pi$$ed to ask him just what the he!! was his job.

It's part of an ongoing effort to get beyond the beltway and media distortion and communicate more effectively to Americans about Iraq. The WH press office has already put out word that the President will be doing this type of thing, in different venues and formats, for several weeks.

It was Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Okay. But, you have to admit, Bush DID promote the theory in a high-profile manner.

He's going to announce that he's going to do speeches until his poll numbers hit 48% and then lay off again until they go back down to 35.

Did it last time, let's do it again.

Par for the course - it's not in his playbook to say anything good about anything when a repub is in office.

And .. during the Clinton years, the media did just the opposite - they lied about how good things were and THEY WEREN'T THAT GOOD. The Clinton admin couldn't figure out how to keep the economy going .. and now that it is going .. they are ignoring it.

But .. Rush talks about it all the time and so do other talk radio people.
