W does seem a bit pi**ed.
Good for him. I think he's just waiting on David Gregory to ask him a stupid question.

FWIW, rumours in the forex market that the Bush press conference at 15:00 GMT is to announce the capture or killing of either Bin Laden or Zarqawi I follow the futures markets and currency markets closely. I heard nothing of these rumors. If legit, they would have showed up also in the SP 500 futures et al. and in the bond futures. The markets are now open, and the cash markets are not showing these "rumors".
For the record, Bush just ended his prepared speech and, of course, he did not announce the capture of these terrorists.
I suggest you stop watching the cartoons and start watching the REAL markets.

Yup; he is fed up. I wish he would point out to the press that he gets the whole picture from Iraq, and not what the press reports, which is only a small fraction of it.

Steve of Reuters: Is there a risk of getting drawn into the nuclear issue if we talk to Iran. Prez calls the Ambassador Zal. Prez looking very serious. Iraq and Iran will negotiate their own foreign policy. The EU3 will lead the negotiations on the nuclear issue.

When is the press going to ask the "Insurgents" why they haven't made more progress after three years of fighting?
Good one. Then the press would have to claim defeat since they are the only ones aiding the "insurgents'" actions.

Unfortunately, Gregory is not there today. It would have been nice to hear the president call him a goober head.

______
Good one.
When you look at the people in the press, collectively and inidividually, they're just not very smart. They're are, perhaps, the most naive group of under-achievers on the planet.

Is it me or does W have a different tone with the press corps? He definitely seems to be enjoying giving them little needles. Iranians need to be handled by Europe. Deal diplomatically. Now. Goes on to cite all the ways the Iranians are walking away from the rest of the world. "Diplomatic sloganeering." I love it!
