If we perceive illegal immigration to be a problem and if we truly want to deal with the issue then we don't need border control.

All we need to do is eliminate their incentive, viz., shut down businesses that employ illegals, including Harry Homeowner who might just hire one or two to build his deck.

That, and eliminating all social services would do the trick.

A .50 cal machine gun placed 100 yards from the border and at 500 yard intervals would make a fine virtual fence. Add snipers as necessary with instructions to identify and eliminate the "coyotes"

A $100,000 fine assessed against employers for each illegal alien employed would remove the financial incentive.

A virtual fence isn't going to do SQUAT to keep terrorist who are determined to get into this country from getting in. It may stop illegal workers but not the security issue.

Our Government is pushing the edge of the envelope and I swear before God if their inaction causes the death of ONE american citizen IN this country, then every last damned one of them needs to be in fear of his or her life from prosecution by the people.

This is NOT about money, jobs or whether or not some rich jerk can get his azalea's bugsprayed for 1/3rd the cost. This IS about a potential bloodbath in one of our cities.
