Tunehead, what?
What is "BTTT"?

Look at the last 2 lines. See the #63? That's your post number - put your cursor over it and right click and you can copy a direct link to this post. Time date and poster is self-explanatory.
Note though if you put your cursor over the poster's name - yours in this example - you should see the date the poster signed up at FR - so you'll know whether they are a "newbie" or an old hand. Careful what you say to "old hands" if they've been around since 1998 or earlier you WILL lose a pi$$ing match with them. Trust me. ;-)
Private reply is for contacting the poster only - its used for any number of purposes - but if you send one it'll show up in their mail box. No one else will see it.
See the "54"? That shows the post number I was responding to. You can just click on that and work back through who said what in response to a particular post.
See "View Replies" - you can right click on it to open a window/page and view what everybody had to say about this particular post.
Lastly, the "Abuse" button. This sends a message to the ever vigilant "Admin Moderators" who tirelessly monitor "FRee Republic" making sure that my posts to "Breaking News" are promptly deleted or move to "Chat" or "The Smokey Backroom".
Actually - if you see an abusive, violent, racist, whatever post just click there and explain to the AM why you think it should be pulled. If you ever have second thought even about what you posted - hit the abuse button and the AM will pull it for you.
Please only use the abuse button for serious issues - not when you simply disagree with a poster or when you get a response (like this one) when you get far more information than you asked for! ;-)
BTW (By the way) - Great post! ;-)
BUMP ;*)
Thank you for all the info. I learned a lot from your post.
Careful what you say to "old hands" if they've been around since 1998 or earlier you WILL lose a pi$$ing match with them. Trust me. ;-)
Should we warn him about the grammar and spelling police?
