Kristinn just called to say that he'll be on this afternoon to talk about the war, protesters, public opinion... I wasn't able to get much more information, because his phone is pretty busy right now. I think he said he'll be on during the 5:30 segment.
For those of us who never watch Hardball, it starts at 5pm on the east coast.
Oh my goodness, your old nemesis Medea Benjamin is doing an interview with O'Reilly right now! Just flipped the channel and there she was. Ughh.

Your "buddy" Medea Benjamin is on O'Reilly right now. She just said, "Saddam was not hurt by sanctions." Does she even realize what she just said? Exactly what many of us have been saying (Oil for Food).

Good point. IMO the "war" in Iraq has been over a long time. We support the troops and the peacekeeping operation in Iraq. Success was achieved years ago when Saddam was toppled. Just like when we stayed in Germany after the end of WWII.

In the interest of accuracy, he actually said they wear CHE GUEVARA shirts, not bin Laden shirts. But it's still disturbing that he doesn't have any problem with the shirts glorifying the murderous Che. (Maybe Che killed the "right people," so it's not that offensive?) That whole t-shirt exchange was an unexpectedly-candid glimpse into the mind of today's Left. I'm gonna go take a shower, LOL.

I would like to see a time line of their promotions. There is probably a sharp rise during the Clinton administration for many PC anti-Bush generals. They probably are also against modernization of the military as it intrudes on their old turf.
As to McCaffrey, wasn't he the Col. who was told that uniforms weren't welcome in the White House. Soon after that story hit the news, he was being schmoozed by Ex42, rose fast and the rest is history. IIRC, one of Clinton's strategies after someone knew something negative about him was to offer a big job to the person. If the big job wasn't enough to quiet them, well.....

I read, here maybe, today a quote from some army? war "unconscionable" objector that she was looking for '"stability and cameraderie" in the armed forces....not to go fight a war for oil.' EGAD.
