What is not being said is that Hoover is one of the top three nieborhoods in this area. The gang mentality is now here because of outside infiltration of people not native to this area.Crime has come into Hoover because of the liberal forces invading the area. Murder and purse snatching is prevalent to this area, which use to have none. Drugs are availiable even more now than before. Overcrowding of apartment complexes are the norm nowadays. Some thing has to be done now or the invasion of illegal armies will overtake this beautiful town and it will become just another Detroit.

From what I am hearing, we could use one like him in nearly every county in the US. If our high paid CONgress critters will not do a dang thing to stop the invasion, might as well use the courts. How can anyone argue with these decisions since many "laws of the land" were birthed from the bench.

This is where I live and I haven't heard of it. I don't know Judge Cahill, but I think I would like to meet him.

Terribly misleading headling. He's not ordering hispanics to leave, he's ordering illegal aliens to leave. Who has a problem with him actually upholding the law?

What's up with the title of this article?

There are very few non-hispanic illegals in Hoover, so naturally most of the cases involve hispanics. The title is slanted, but coincidentally correct.

The list goes on. When does it stop?

It will stop when we can elect real leaders who will actually enforce immigration laws. Leaders like that have been absent in Washington for a long time. Most of the current bunch are globalist/open borders/slave labor buttboys.

There is NOT a lot of Section 8 Housing in that area! There are a lot of apartments. It is one of the fastest growing areas of the state, that is why the illegals hang out there. There are a lot of jobs in the area. Until recently, The State Republican party office was right across the street from the "pick up spot" for illegal workers. It is a big problem, they even call it GuadalaHoover sometimes on the radio, but the place is not a slum. I go through there every day. The new mayor, Tony Petelos and Police Chief Derzis are enforcing the law as they should. So is Judge Cahill.

Now there's a judge who doesn't mess around!

I agree with your three points, jinx, but there should be a fourth....no automatic citizenship for anchor babies.

I'd like to know which commie lawyer is advising Anel for her class action lawsuit. I call BS!

re: “The only kind of judges who can order aliens removed from the country are immigration judges,”)))

Somebody tell these smarty-pants law judges that he's ordering removal from state, not country.

Why not order them out of town, and out of county? Keep 'em moving. Let the locals have a chance to staunch this invasion, since the feds won't enforce the law.

Trespassing, loitering, having fake IDs--no DL, no car insurance. These could all be potential ways to kick 'em out of town or locality, if you can't kick 'em out of the country. That'd make them the next state's problem. We could send them all to Baltimore to work for this soft-hearted judge.

Yes, there is a lot of Section 8 housing in that Lorna Road area. Almost all of the apartments on the right side of Lorna Road (up on the hill, very dense with apartments) are Section 8.

Yes, it is a misleading headline, but I thought I wouldn't be allowed to edit it.

Who is doing the "race baiting"? Huh? Them or you?

I believe that the biased and incomplete way that the Birmingham News is reporting on this issue is race baiting.

I also decry the way that they are slamming Judge Cahill.

Even the headline made it sound like the old south racist are trying to get rid of all Hispanics.

That is certainly far from true. We know many Hispanic who are here legally and they are wonderful parts of our community.

It's unfair of the Birmingham news, not to mention race baiting to present the issue as they do.

I totally agree with your post. My aunt and Uncle still live in Riverchase, but just a few years before the influx hit, they sold their condo which was right off Lorna Rd.

If they hadn't of sold it when they did, they would of lost MUCH of the value and been unable to sell it. They are retired and that would of certainly left them in a bind.

Many, many people are still stuck in that bind.

After we first married, my husband and I lived in Hoover. It was very safe and we loved it. I read just the other day that there was a very violent murder in that same complex that was at one time filled with families.

It's a shame.

Jefferson County Alabama judge ordering Hispanics to leave state

The headline writer is a malicious a-hole, deliberately twisting the story to make the judge look like a racist yahoo ("Jefferson County Alabama judge ordering Hispanics to leave state") rather than honestly summarizing the story ("Jefferson County judge ordering illegals to leave state").

You pegged that very well. They even mentioned that the judge "leaves work" at 12 every day for mass.

The real story is that he uses his lunch hours to attend mass.

No - it means he's a "far-right Christian fanatic trying to shove his religious beliefs down the throats of others."

I have just given you a translation of MSM-DoubleSpeak.
