Transcript: Sen. Dick Durbin on 'FOX News Sunday' [Barfer]
Fox News ^ | March 19, 2006

"FOX NEWS SUNDAY" HOST CHRIS WALLACE: Joining us now to discuss Iraq and other national security issues is the number two Democrat in the Senate, Dick Durbin, who joins us from Chicago.

And, Senator, welcome back to "FOX News Sunday".

DURBIN: Good to be with you.

WALLACE: Let me start by asking you the same question I asked General Casey. On this third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, how's the war going?

DURBIN: Well, let me say first I want to thank the general, as you did, and all the troops in uniform for their service to our country and risking their lives every single day for us.

Having said that, I think that the political leaders in Washington have failed when it comes to our policy in Iraq. They misled us into believing there were weapons of mass destruction and connections between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein. None of that existed.

They did not provide the necessary troops, the necessary equipment and the necessary leadership at a time when we need it. We've lost over 2,300 of our bravest and best Americans to date. There's no end in sight.

And as you said in the opening segment, even our own ambassador is acknowledging the fact that we've opened Pandora's Box and the leaders have said in Iraq that we're facing nothing short of civil war. Here we are, on the third anniversary, with no end in sight.

Turpin in his early days as a Senator had the oil companies investigated twice for price gouging.
Having failed to uncover even a dime, he also showed up on TV comparing our military in Iraq to Pol Pot, the mass killer, then came Dick Turpin's revelations by comparing U.S. troops in Iraq to criminals.
All of this from prepared text, or in other words planned and decided upon based on his, Dick Turpin's, judgment of truthfulness and impact effect.
He originally refused to retract or apologize but Daily this Chicago Democrat Mayor, openly request for Senator Dick Turpin to fess up and apologize, which Dick obliged to two days later.
Weaseling around in this Fox interview should not come as a surprise to anyone as Dick is a practitioner of while earning his stripes in this gray, shadowy, greasy environment of Chicago politics.

Durbin is laughable. At least his staff convinced him it was bad to liken our military to despots.
---
No, it was Richie Daley, the mayor of Chicago. Richie's boy is in the army.
In case, you don't know, Turban boy was really pleased with the response his comments attacking the military got. Until he got a call from the Mayor. Then he was back out before the cameras blubbering an apology. Sweating bricks.
I'd pay good money for a tape of that telephone call.
Just for the record I hate Richie too. But he didn't let that c---weasel get away with slamming the military.

Traitor, treason, vermin Democrat low life, that is Dick Durbin and his Democrat friends. They need their hearts ripped out at the polls this year and in 2008. The biggest joke is on the American Jews, American Blacks and Gays & Lesbians that call themselves Democrat liberals. When their party gets power they'll all be going to the hereafter, coutesy of Bin Laden and company. They are all too stupid to realize it!!! Oh, the Arab terrorists like some folks of color, as long as they are Muslim, but they hate American and African Blacks. As for American Jews and Gays & Lesbians, they are all dead meat from the gitgo!!! Go figure!!!
