Right what we call half term break. Where the schools and colleagues have a week off. We have just had one and will have another one in May.
The Universities apart from exam break will have their major breaks at Easter and summer of course the schools will too.

Has Mr Potato mentioned his supeona in the Libby case? He should be recused from the news til it's over.NBC is waiting for the indictment for lying to investigators. The 64,000,000 question is will Patrick-I-want-a-job-as-AG-in-a-Dem-admin-Fitzgerald treat Timmy the same way he did Libby for the same crime?

Murtha still spewing the LIE that there was no Al qaeda in Iraq pre Invasion
........ and Russert playing the willing accomplice.
Tim Russert's father, who Tim dedicated his book to, is going to slap Potatohead around in their after
Actually it was a bit astounding. Murtha was off on one of his Mr.Magoo tangents about vietnam and iraq and bush lied and no wmd and no connection to terrorism (until we created it) which were all exaggerated and made up to get us in to war until , blah blah blah..
After the 8min rant, Timmaaahhh asked "but the administration would say, although no direct connection to 9/11 there certainly was connection to terrorism"
Murtha's response was "bwwaaaa thats just an excuse.. thats just an excuse to get us into war"
/BOGGLE
Ok... so #1 he ignores that he just got busted in a lie, and #2 he calls a "Iraq <--> Terrorism Connection" an "excuse" to get us into war.
Sorta' like finding out Murtha is the guest is just an 'excuse' to turn the channel.

One of the reasons I can't watch O'Reilly, Hannity, Matthews and some others is they talk over their guests. They should all learn from Schieffer. This is the best, post on this thread ! Thank you for saying this.

I think it was Murtha (but may have been Turbin) that was whining on about there is absolutely no connection between Iraq and AQ, no WMD, blah, blah, blah. Apparently, he hasn't heard anything about the documents that have been released (one of our own FReepers, jveritas, is translating them!). Or, maybe he has heard and just chose to ignore it - - which is what they usually do - -ignore the facts and make up lies and try to present them as facts.
Released Saddam papers hint at links to Al-Qaeda
Sunday Times ^ | March 19, 2006 | Sarah Baxter

NEWLY released documents seized in Iraq immediately after the American invasion in 2003 point to the presence of Al-Qaeda members in the country before the war and moves to hide traces of chemical or biological materials from United Nations weapons inspectors.
The documents were posted on the internet as part of a rolling programme by the US government to make public the contents of 48,000 boxes of untranslated papers and tapes relating to the workings of Saddam Husseins regime. Saddam is said to have routinely taped talks with cabinet members and intelligence chiefs.

US puts Iraqi documents on the Web ~ MSM acknowledges ...Goal is to speed up translation of files

Joseph Shahda of Randolph earns his living as an engineer. But in his spare time, he's an intelligence agent, working to ferret out the truth about the regime of deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
When the US government on Thursday began publishing captured Iraqi government documents on the Internet, Shahda eagerly began to translate the files into English and publish them on a conservative website.
''I feel a sense of duty," said Shahda, a native of Lebanon who supports President Bush's decision to invade Iraq. ''I think it's a duty for people who know Arabic to translate the documents."
Document: Afghani Taliban Consul Spoke of a Relationship Between Iraq and Bin Laden See Translation
Pentagon: Pre-War Iraq documents ^ | March/16/06 | jveritas
Posted on 03/16/2006 7:44:29 AM PST by jveritas
The documents of pre-war Iraq were published this morning on the Pentagon website, I did a quick search and I found a very interesting document written in Arabic and not yet translated to English. I did the translation and I found the following:
This document is a letter written by a member of Saddam Intelligence apparatus (Al Mukabarat) on 9/15/2001 (shortly after 9/11/2001) where he addressed it to someone higher up and he wrote about a conversation between an Iraqi intelligence source and a Taliban Afghani Consul. In the conversation the Afghani Consul spoke of a relationship between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden prior to 9/11/2001, and that the United States was aware of such a relationship and that there is a potential of US strikes against Iraq and Afghanistan if the destructive operations in the US (most probably he is referring to 9/11 attacks) were proven to be connected to Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban.
Below is a translation from Arabic to English of CMPC-2003-001488 document that was posted on Pentagon Website regarding the pre-war Iraq documents. (

Pastry chef at white house resigned, said Busmiller. From Washington Post Reliable Source column
Sweet Sorrow at the White House
Tuesday, March 14, 2006; Page C03
Thaddeus DuBois just landed himself one sweet deal. The White House executive pastry chef is leaving after just 18 months for the greener pastures of casino chocolate chips. DuBois, who came from the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, will become the executive chef at Boyd Gaming Corp.'s new hotel in Las Vegas.
The first lady hired DuBois in September of 2004, following the retirement of Roland Mesnier , who held the job for 25 years. The grad of Gaithersburg's International School of Confectionary Arts was responsible for creating thousands of desserts for everyone with a presidential sweet tooth. The conditions are less than ideal -- DuBois had just one assistant, a tiny kitchen, and very long days -- but said yesterday, "I had a fantastic time here serving the president and first lady." Laura Bush is "very disappointed" to lose him, said spokeswoman Susan Whitson.
The master chocolatier, 42, was approached by his old employer to work at Echelon Place, the luxury hotel being built on the site of the Strip's Stardust Hotel. Sure, he'll make more than his White House salary (in the $90K-$110K range), but the real reason for leaving, he said, is "the ability, down the road, to have my own pastry or chocolate place in the hotel."
DuBois will remain at the White House for another two weeks, then head back to the Borgata until the new hotel opens in about 18 months.

...I saw FOX covering the French riot...
Yeah, FOX can carry French riots when they are politically-correct Europeans. But, we ignore the Islamic protests--cause we don't want to hurt any body's feelings..

These senators are the ones to retire and allow fresh blood in the congress before demanding fresh blood in WH in 6 years. That goes for the "talking heads" as well. How old is Mike Wallace? Bob Schiffer?

...Those who voted against this amendment voted to raid Social Security, said Senator DeMint. Now, every senator will be on record whether they oppose or support the raid. This said absolutely nothing about personal accounts, it was about whether you believe Social Security should be saved or allowed to wither on the vine.
Go ahead, put it on record.
