"Juan says the NYT didn't report on the wireltap story for one year out of respect for the President."
"The NY DNC Times held the story until they could time release to the book being published."
Exactly! And neither the book or the story should have been published due to release of classified nat'l security information, and, the Prez specifically asked a couple of big wigs at the NY Slimes not to publish it. Some respect for the Prez - - NOT!

Good God...is Murtha in Senile Dementia? Or just a stupid, egotistical blowhard! He's both....... he just doesn't remember being a blowhard.

Would you rather he throw softballs? Not at all.
I was just referring to previous posts where the DNC had taken the word "incompetence" from a focus group and was told to use it at every turn when criticizing this administration.
I just thought it funny that apparently FTN was furnished this information also.

Juan's argument about the NYTimes holding up the story is humorous at best --

I just came into the middle of the thread.
The Veep and Schieffer were both great.

Nightmare scenario: Dems tall House and John Conyers becomes chairman of Judiciary Committee. YES....... but the real trouble is that most likely at least 85% of the voting Americans do not know what you wrote!!! And Pelosi for President after they boot out Cheney and Bush.

Bob asks the question about letting the world know about the shooting incident (hunting accident). Asks Cheney in retrospect would he have handled the story differently! Cheney stands by the original way the story was let out and called it exactly was: a tempest in a teapot. Pointing yet again, and doing so with his delicious smirk, that the media hysteria is well....hysterical! A great appearance by our VEEP. He was awesome.

Wallace did some awesome heavy hitting interviewing IMHO! That's great to hear. Meanwhile over on MTP Murtha is showing just how well he can memorize the DNC stalking points with Fat Tim aiding him along the way. The war, health care, Katrina all will cause pubbies to lose congress says Murtha. His hope is if he spins enough BS in enough different directions congress will take their eye off the ball which is his despicable behavior as a corrupt politician. More stay out of jail spin by traitor Murtha.

Bears repeating.
Cheney says that it took us longer to set up a government over 200 years ago .. then it's taking the IraqisThat is a major point that gets tossed to the curb by the media and the anti-Iraq crowd. Thank you VP Cheney!

Did I misinterpret it or did Juan just say that it wasn`t worth the fight to bring a form of democracy to the middle east.
To me that is an inherently racist statement, suggesting something like that.
Juan mentioned civil rights here in the US.
I wonder what his reaction would have been in the 50s and 60s if someone had said that "getting rid of Jim Crow wasn`t worth the fight".

Murtha still spewing the LIE that there was no Al qaeda in Iraq pre Invasion, when Clinton's justice dept indicted Osama bin Laiden back on Nov. 5, 1998, for just that reason, as well as more and more Iraqi documents proving Saddam was in bed with Al Quaeda for many years....AMAZING!
To: Laverne
Anyone asking about the "IMPEACHMENT" motion?
I would have thought that would be a topic of interest.
