Actually that "Pretty In Pink" is yet ANOTHER NY Times scandal. Warner was really wearning a charcoal jacket, blue shirt, and blue tie but the Times photo people photoshopped the colors to maroon and pink. And I am NOT kidding. There is a bunch of commentary about this on the Net.

Here is a quote from Editor and Publisher about Warner's physical appearance:

But one top Democratic fundraiser, Chris Korge, picks Warner as “the one to watch,” calling him “a big guy,” at least in size. Bai observes that Warner has an unusually large head that requires “extra-large baseball caps.” It must be a striking charactertistic, as another observer later remarks on his “huge head” which is Arnold Schwarzeneggereque.

If he has a huge head then his teeth must be ENORMOUS to look so big in his head. Anyway, I want to thank Mark Warner for boosting my self-esteem. You see, my teeth are a bit SMALLER than normal and I always wanted to have larger teeth but after seeing this photo I am now perfectly happy to have teeny teeth.

It's obvious they also whitened the teeth. They claimed it was a color problem- I guess it didn't occur to them that if you alter the hue enough to turn a blue shirt pink and grey to maroon, that the face would be red as a beet. I suppose they think no one out there in Jesusland knows anything about photo retouching.

Pretty damning, and the Times, once again, the Ol' Grey Lady's "slips" are showing. The Times is becoming the newspaper version of CBS - or is it the other way around???
