Chaos, disaster, civil war brewing.

Time for France to pull out of France.

FNC now reporting thousands of police in full riot gear moving in with tear gas, batons and water cannon, bustin' heads along the way. Looks like they're not messing around.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!

Yes! I turned on the TV in my son's room (he's 17) and said, "observe the face of socialism." When I told him why they were rioting, he couldn't stop laughing.

Can hardly believe my eyes. I've never seen so many cops.

Problem is, FOX is reporting this in terms that wouldn't be recognized by rioters. As I understand it, they're infuriated over the possibility that employers would have the right to fire them. The proposed law would allow this to occur until the employee is 25 years old. If I were French, I'd be polishing my resume at 24 and 1/2.

A stupid system that can only foster bankruptcy, or the endless importation of exempt labor. France hasn't learned to live without the slave trade?

Oh.... so this is a NEW riot???
I thought maybe somebody was bumping an older thread...

Anyway... what's this one about???
Are the Muslim immigrants suffering discrimination again?
Or are the frenchies merely unhappy that Jerry Lewis hasn't made any new movies lately?

Let me see if I've got this right: These are the "sophisticated, enlightened, intelligent" people we Americans should be more like?!

What happened? Did the French farmers take a day off from striking and blocking traffic? I'm surprised the French police haven't surrendered.

French rioting because their welfare payments haven't been increased by 25% this year?

Here is the bottom line to this.

France had a rule that said employees could not work over 35 hours a week. This of course led to higher unemployment and companies leaving. In order to stay competitive France lifted the not over 35hours a week rule.

So having to actually work over 35 hours a week is what brings this riot on. These French weenies are acting as if they cannot quit their job if they do not like their hours. How pathetic from the oh soooo "sophisticated" Europeans... LMAO!

To appreciate the nuiances of these minor disturbances, one should have some good ciggies, brie, French Wine and a sexy Beret.

So in a nut shell the French students want to work less, make more money, and never get fired.

No wonder why socialism has failed so miserably.

From all available evidence, the Second French Revolution is going to be a lot worse than the First (i.e.1789).
