But it was at 11PM on Sat.night and was only a half hour. Now Paul Gigot has the time slot, also just a half hour, and a good show.
An hour and a better time slot,IMO, would have made Cal's show more popular, and that's the case with Paul's new show too, I imagine.
If you're watching news on Saturday night at 11, then we need to talk, ss.
Oh...yeah, I forgot...and that is the problem.
I love that new Gigot show...but, agree that the time slot is not good.
However, I saw on the Weekend Talk Show preview thread...that they will be showing it in the afternoon on Saturday, as well as in the evening.
I can get you the time...or ping you to the thread if you want me to.
Fox isn't right wing or extremist now, so one can only imagine what a conservative news station would do.
i figured it was worth another spin around the block for us night folks who missed it.
It's really up to the mods,it's there call. :)
Both of you...we need to talk. Take a break from the news. Just take a break.
:-)
My hope would be that it would be real news, not a right wing mirror image of Algore's network (which I'll admit I've never watched).
Most of the things called for in this article are no more than telling the truth. That isn't really "fettered by agenda" but the news media are so far left that we've come to associate mere truth telling with a right-wing agenda.
(And I work for the old media, btw)
Bump later reading tired go to bed , for me..
This old webtv can't access the internet feed for the channel so I'm probably going to buy a computer soon. That or a sattelite dish.
I have long wished Fox would give up the "fair and balanced" idea and just give us conservative news. The left can get their news over at CNN,ABC,NBC,ABC.
Thanks!
Shepard Smith's sensationalized reporting of Katrina convinced me that Fox News
was agendized. Then there's Greta with her non stop Barbie rape victims,
and the staged arguments on Hannity & Colmes that really turn me off.
Ever tune into Hal Lindsey or Chuck Misler?
I think the news should never have been subject to ratings. I remember my Father saying this would lead to more violent and salacious "news" to lure in viewers.

Here is the thread, smoothsailing...it will be shown at 4:00 EST tomorrow.
Herford...you might want to check out this thread also.
BTW...LOL thanks for the advice...I tend to agree with you.
I peruse FR befor I go to work. Most of the vehicles I operate have a radio and I bounce between the 2 christian stations I get here.
Lunch with Paul Harvey. He is about as mainstream as I can stand (but Im usually yelling at him by thursday.)
Afternoons with Rush then hopefully an Archie Bunker re-run in the evening and maybe an hour surfing the threads here.
TV is a waste of time. When I found I had turned into my father and wanted to throw a brick through the Idiot box...It has become nothing more than an annoyance.
You dont need a conservative television news channel.
Alls you need is FreeRepublic.com
Comming soon!
"FRC" -- The Free Republic Channel
Contact your cable or satelite provider
"I need a television news network that'll avoid using politically correct terms like 'undocumented workers' when the subject is illegal aliens,"
Hey, did you know Lou Dobbs actually uses the term "illegal aliens" (while presenting his crusade against the administration)?
I almost never watch CNN, but the last couple of weeks I've turned it on to see just how liberally-slanted Dobb's show is. He's determined to say not one good thing about the President.
If you listen, though, it's amazing how it actually sounds like a conservative point-of-view.....wanting increased national security and tougher border control.
The Democrats know these two issues will win elections.
Maybe some of them are truly honest in their concerns. If Lou Dobbs is not one of those, he should win an Emmy for best performance.
You are welcome....I am going to bed now...
But check out the rest of that thread I posted...and maybe we will talk after the Paul Gigot show tomorrow.
