Well said. I don't even turn on the T.V. anymore. I have cancelled all newspapers and magazines, except Woodworking, for all the reasons you gave.

My hope would be that it would be real news, not a right wing mirror image of Algore's networkIt would have to be real news. The integrity of the network alone wouldn't allow it to spin to the right.
However, you could throw a couple of commentary shows on, but largely, it would be news, reported with all the facts.

swing from lamp posts and ride home in squad cars on Sat.night.I ride in squad cars on Friday nights and the wife usually bails me out on Saturday night once I've sobered up.

You won't find one now. Fox is mainly liberal too. While Brit is excellent and Gibson ok the other shows far from it. Gretta is like True Detective, Hannity is just dumb most of the time, O'Reilly is all over the map unless it is about explotation of children when he is excellent. The news breaks are written by liberals, the running news mediocre.
To: TheLion
I have long wished Fox would give up the "fair and balanced" idea and just give us conservative news. They can't! I remember teh grilling Murdoch got on the hill by Diane Finestein claiming she wasn't "treated nice" on an interview where she was grilled and her answer made her look like an idiot. Look how they are branded for daring to show another side of a viewpoint.

Today "conservative" means one who tells the truth without the lying liberal bias.
To: jazusamo
Yep! But I don't see that we will get it........
Fox does the best of any though.
My boss had his TV on the other day, and left the office. A coworker went in, shut off the TV, and said...."People who watch Fox News are idiots. I can't believe anyone could actually watch that. "
The best thing about Fox News is that it drives the liberals nuts. Need to be supportive of them.
To: Bommer
They are going to get trashed for telling the truth, so why bother trying to appease the liberals.

Then that means you're posting your comments from a pretty swanky hoosegow, with an internet connection, this is Friday Night! :)

FNC is the only news I'll watch. I think Hume is the best on all TV. Cavuto, Gibson and sometimes O'Rile aren't bad, the rest i don't watch.

Hannity is just dumb most of the timeWith H&C,for me at least,it's just that they all interrupt each other, talk over each other, and then they do commercial breaks. The show is worthless.
To: smoothsailing
I have to go to Reno tomorrow so I'm not allowed to leave the house. That's why I'm still on. Otherwise, it's the drunk tank.

Ha! Remind me never to offer to pick up your bar tab, I'd have to float a loan.:-)

I didn't change H&C tonight after watching O'Rile and I could not believe it. I was sitting at the computer and I swear they had a shout fest. One of the guests was Barron from New York City, he's bad anytime but tonight it was ridiculous. From now on I won't forget to change it or mute it.

The same stories repeated over and over and over, too. Too much sensational apolitical stuff: "Actor/entertainer in legal trouble"; "Pretty girl missing."

In all actuality, I really don't drink much. I usually just take a break from news, etc... on the weekends.
