technically my eyes are doing fine, it's my brain that's having problems coping. Not really much they can do for me there ;^>
It's like when you get a new pair of glasses, things are changed and you take time to get used to it. My relative change was just a bit more extensive than most. I go back to my doctor on the 8th and he actually thinks that he'll be able correct me to 20/20 in the left eye with glasses. I haven't been able to wear glasses to get correction for 35 years! The prospect is really exciting. It's just getting from here to there that takes a bit of getting used to.
One of the things I'm most grateful for is that I've got a very understanding boss who is letting me work from home, in a slightly more controlled environment, about half of each day. Of course, he does end up getting me to work about an extra 3 or 4 hours that way, so it works out ;^>
Thank you all for your concern and well wishes (and patience with my soap opera)
Although not nearly to the extent of your eye problem..
I think I sort of know what you are going through. I wear contact lenses...but went to the optometrist to get some emergency glasses.
Well they thought it would be a good idea to give my bifocals...and so, of course, I went along with it. I told them I wanted the "lineless" so you can't tell by looking at them that they are bifocals....
I got them and tried to wear them that day...and I was SO nauseous, and had such vertigo...I couldn't wear them AT ALL. They told me I would get used to them, just to keep wearing them...but I just couldn't deal with the vertigo, which triggered the nausea.
I took them back..and said that since I wear my contacts 100% of the time, and the glasses are only for emergency, that I want just single vision, NO bifocals.
The new ones are better...but I plan on not having to use them unless I have an eye infection, because I keep a stock of boxes and boxes of new contacts at home.
Also, a few extra Fox weekend shows have posted info:
The Beltway Boys (Fred Barnes and Mort Kondracke)
Fox News Watch (Eric Burns)
And one just for history buffs
War Stories (Oliver North)
Thank you...I was just going to ping you and the rest to the show...
I like Paul's show more and more everytime I see it...
ugh...
kids watching princess mononoke...?
OY!
have you ever had the feeling you were wondering the halls of the GREAT FREE REPUBLIC and felt lost.. abandoned...alone..
{sniff}
Two words:
March Madness
followed by
Go Tigers!
ROFLLLL!!!
well THAT explains it!
Yes....I felt that way last night...for some reason Friday nights are my nights to have a lot of time to freep...but I can't find anyone that wants to "come out and play"..LOL
I have been on a thread about the riots in France...I should have pinged you...sorry.
If you get a chance to watch the replay of this show tonight, you should watch it....it is a great show.
Today's topic is immigration reform...and there are a lot of thoughtful opinions...no flame wars and shouting.
I sure wish I had a DVD player that records...but I don't...maybe if you asked on the DOSE thread tonight?
I hope you are talking about the MEMPHIS TIGERS...not the LSU Tigers...
Because I am really rooting hard for the Cinderella Aggies!!
Hello, Phsstpok, I was so delighted to see Gigot's program on at this time. Unfortunately, I was on my way out of the door this time.
And you've got my other team as well. Though he's left school before graduating my son is an Aggie (once and Aggie, always an Aggie), so I pull for them too.
Gig 'Em
(that's as close to maroon as I could find)
If Memphis and A&M meet by some chance I'll be torn, but will end up happy whichever goes on (is that even possible?)
LOL...my sister graduated from A & M....
I will root for Memphis, I have always kind of liked them, unlike Kentucky, who I have been known to root against..LOL

Don't know if you saw this thread...but a good article from Fred Barnes...and very necessary read for those of us interested in helping in the 2006 elections..instead of just griping about things..
Mr. Sackett is obviously a very astute observer since he agrees with me :)
Yes...I thought that article was really good...and I too, agree that distancing from President Bush is dumb (LOL).
BTW...I noticed that both Mort and Fred Barnes, on Beltway Boys made the comment that though "the talk around town" may be that Bush needs new blood...it was not a good thing for him to go public with his "suggestion"..
I agree with that as well...it was a dumb move by Coleman, and I lost some respect for him as an opportunist.
I am mentally making a roster for the new "opportunist party"..that I see forming.
Coleman appears to be getting too big for his britches. JMO
I guess he doesn't remember that he barely won his seat...and probably wouldn't even BE a senator if Wellstone's plane hadn't crashed...
Well....you won't have to worry about your Memphis Tigers having to play the Aggies...sigh
A & M came really close to beating LSU though..
I will root for your Tigers...
