Your humble picture poster is getting the Saturday Sortie in early today just because I feel like it.

P-39s on Friday that must mean that Sayurday would be P-40s. Well it sounded good to me, besides I have quite a few really good P-40 pics. On with the pics.

The obligatory head on shot of a P-40.

What would a Series of P-40 pics be without a Flying Tigers pic?

A nice inflight shot of the P-40 in quite possibly 23rd Fighter Group makings.

This picture was taken at the Duxford airshow last yearIIRC. I wish I had been there to take it!!!

Another AVG P-40, this one is from New Zealand.

A great inflite pic of an 11th Squadron P-40 that were stationed in the Aleutians during WW-ii.

Well everybody have a great Saturday night and we will be back next weekend.

Regards

You stinker you! : )

Your pic's are (as usual) most formidable ones.

I actually had the opportunity to sit in a P-40 (the Warhawk version) when I installed the Avionics in one back in the early '80's.

It is considered to be a formidable fighter for it's time however it wasn't because of it's power plant's lack of supercharging to give it altitude advantage.
