WASHINGTON, March 17 /U.S. Newswire/ -- FreeRepublic.com members will be holding support the troops and their mission counter-demonstrations around the country this weekend to show their continued support for Operation Iraqi Freedom on the third anniversary of the commencement of the war.
From Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. on Friday, March 17 (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) to Balboa Park in San Diego on March 18 (Noon to 4 p.m.), patriotic Americans will gather to stand up to the anti-American left which is seeking to undermine morale in the global war on terrorists with their so-called antiwar protests this weekend.
Support the troops and their mission demonstrations will also be held in Fayetteville, N.C. on March 18 across from Rowan Park at 11 a.m., Boston on March 18 at the Government Center at 11 a.m., Indianapolis on March 18 near Monument Circle at 1 p.m., San Francisco on March 18 at the Civic Center at 11 a.m. and other cities and towns across the country.
FreeRepublic.com is one of the most popular conservative news analysis and activism websites in the country. Free Republic chapters have been holding support the troops and their mission rallies since shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Membership of Free Republic is comprised of veterans, military families and other patriotic Americans.
Oh no! Thanks for the heads up.
Are you sure that there's a Boston Gov't Center rally at 11:00? Some of us Boston area FReepers are indeed planning a "support our troops" rally at Gov't Center around 1:00PM.
Where did you get this info?
The press release is from Kristinn.
We are having our Support Our Troops rally here in Port Angeles Washington, Saturday 18 March 1100-1400, intersection of HWY 101 and Golf Course Rd. (near McDonalds/Payless Shoes/Schucks Auto)!
Too bad the RINO's won't allow the "white flag" ad to be run again on TV
Pass this "white flag" ad from Dec 2005 around on the internet, it's from gop.com

At least gop.com has not been taken over by the RINO's!

Bump!!
There are NC FReepers gathering in Fayetteville even now....
Just got back from Walter Reed. The Pinkos has about 20 there. They are in town for their crap.
Hi there:
I saw some of your comments on line. Hope your son will be safe and well. I wanted to alert you to something I find very disturbing, though. With all the talk about how protesters treat the troops, ironically, many of the people I hear trashing our troops in Iraq are other veterans. I've heard some of them ridiculing Nat'l Guard troops who are in the line of fire daily, claiming they "have it easy." Regardless of whether it's a full-time military or Nat'l Guard, I think it's reprehensible for a fellow vet to talk that way about someone who's defending our country. Most of the vets who have made these comments, by the way, made them here in the States, and a lot of them have never been in combat.
Just something to think about.

Thanks for the ping!
There will be a rally in Richmond, VA, Sunday 2-5.
Just got home from Walter Reed.
I don't suppose there are going to be any 'support the troops' demonstrations this weekend in Eureka, CA?
Any upcoming Support the Troops in the Olympia, WA area, do you know? I'd love to go to a rally for our troops, but I'd need a ride, or to convince my parents to rally, too!
