No injuries reported so far, on either side. (Odd)
Large objective area. Op will be ongoing for days. We have not faced resistance we've not been able to handle.
Now Brit asks if this was just for show, since we have no insurgents KIA. CO says no. Be patient.

Maj. Bryant.....101st airborne....scaled down till daylight, Iraqi generated op., fully partnered, found arms, ied, real success is partnership and increased capabilities of the Iraqis. "Did you kill any? " No injuries on anyones' side." Aim? "Search til no weapons or equipment that the bad folks can use. We have not faced any type of resistance that we haven't been able to handle" Was this just for show? "This is an op to deny insurgency an area in which to operate, Iraqi generated op. Patience"

The MSM is using a two prong approach. First, if the mission is successful the MSM will claim it was minimally successful but only designed to increase Bush's poll numbers by Bush's authorization. Second, if it fails Bush will be labeled incompetent and the whole Iraqi War is out of control with civil war. Either way Bush is evil to the MSM and can't win for anything.

How would he know whether or not there are "dead bad guys"?
To: Dog
THis is very odd.
How could there be no casualties on either side. This is very very strange.
Are they holding back?

Spokeman: there was shooting but no shooting....HUH?
He makes it sound like it was a nothing raid.

I don't think he said that there were no injuries on either side. I think he was saying that there are no reports of injuries to our side.
But truly... its early on and those kind of things aren't put together yet.

Zarqawi loses if he gets captured and killed;
During one of the first reported Zarqawi captures/killings I remember watching CNN where they hastily put together a panel to discuss Zarqawi and the relevance of his capture. Everyone on the panel came to a conclusion that Zarqawi was no biggie and it wouldn't matter. Once it was determined that Zarqawi had NOT been captures/killed the exact same panel concluded that it was a huge blow to the War on Terror.
President Bush cannot win.

Bret Baier is interviewing the CO of this op- he says there were no injuries or KIA's among the enemy. Now it's sounding there may have been some POSSIBLE warning to the insurgents...it's odd.

[caught part of the interview]
Major Tom Bryant briefing on Operation Swarmer now.
Bill Hemmer asks him whether the Iraqi insurgents were tipped off to the coming military action. hmmmm
Maj. Bryant says he has no knowledge of their being tipped off.
