I stopped watching Fox when they hired that @sshole Geraldo Rivera Jerry Rivers. I couldn't tell you a single thing about their current lineup, except that Shep Smith is a drama queen and is dumber than a bag of rocks.

God bless your son- he's had the best training in the world- it will serve him well.
You can do this- one day at a time is how it's done...sometimes one minute. Stick close with other familes with those in service. We get each other through it.

Didn't take FNC too long to contact their military stringers. Gen McInerney, Maj Bevelaqua, Col Hunt, all know whats going on and are giving good descriptions. Poor Bret Baier is way out of his area of knowledge (to say the least)!

It's about 8 PM there now..
The troops will be hunkering down, establishing perimeters, and sealing off the areas...
Nobody in or out, until daybreak..
ID everyone...
Comments on the news are, the operation will probably last several days..
Most of the action for today is over..

Didn't think about it much but it has been obvious we have been hunkered down a bit. I hope the hunkering down was really a rope-a-dope. The last couple of nights, warplanes have been screaming over the skies of Baghdad, flying low. I figured they were getting ready for something. Even the thought of Iran lurked in the back of my mind...
Now we know. ;-)

"That big a force? Maybe a Zarqawi alert?" While it's always possible that Zarqawi is in this area I doubt this scale of operation is intended to locate just one man or group of men. More likely, it may be intended to co-op the AQ insurgents prior to the upcoming religious event. I heard on Fox News that the forces returned to Iraq from Kuwait were intended to free the 101'st; most likely for this operation. That means it's been in the works for awhile.
While I'm sure we'll be very interested in what intelligence we gather during this operation regarding Zarqawi, I don't see this being just about him.

That big a force? Maybe a Zarqawi alert? Probably a nest of A-Q. I'm hoping Mookie Sadr was in there somehow. It is a Shiite town.

Yes, their military commentators are pretty good..
I especially like Col Hunt and Maj Bevelaqua..
I can depend on their evaluations most of the time..

I would suspect that Spooky is on station to provide a quick trip to hell for the terrorists.
