FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006

What is the origin of your screen name? Come tell us your story.... How'd ya choose your screen name? A situation in your life? Part of a song? Your Military service?
For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin" that decided it for me! I bought a blouse that had that on the tag... Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin.. Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"
So there ya have it! Have fun! Please, no politics in The Canteen.. We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!
Now tell us YOUR story!! |

My name is from my first and last name, put together, plus my address.
No biggie.
I'm a USN/ret's wife and an AF mom-in-law and soon to be USN mom.
Glad to be here.

God Bless our troops!
I've always been good with my hands. Since I was a kid catching footballs.
Since I've been alone and living in an apartment I don't do much with my hands now except write software, play with my cats and post on FR. :-)

I'm 6'7" and built like a retired offensive lineman, the first day of college someone in the dorms couldn't remember my name and called me "Tiny Feller" and have been stuck with it for 30 years.
In some other forums I use tinybubs for "Butt Ugly But Sexy".

I have ancestors who had a farm and a tavern on the road from Lexington to Concord. And one of the first skirmishs after the British opened fire at Lexington Green was at this sightas they were marching to Concord to grab the colonials munition stockpile there. Three sons were members of the Lincoln detachment of the Minutemen. That is very cool. We were able to trace my mom's side to the revolution and beyond to William Penn settling Pennsylvania. They were loyal to King George at the time of the war unfortunately but considering my FReep handle, we're almost brothers in arms ...LOL!

Good evening and welcome to the Canteen!! Thanks for sharing the origin of your screenname!Of course, that was before I married the woman who brought meaning into my life in which case, our screen name would have been our first intials, our stathe and our street address.
