FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006
Ms.Behavin

Posted on 03/15/2006 5:59:14 PM PST by StarCMC

What is the origin of your screen name?

Come tell us your story....

How'd ya choose your screen name?
A situation in your life?
Part of a song?
Your Military service?

For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin"
that decided it for me!
I bought a blouse that had that on the tag...
Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin..
Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"

So there ya have it!
Have fun!
Please, no politics in The Canteen..
We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!

Now tell us YOUR story!!

..in a moment of feeling esoteric and mysterious, I changed my screen name to my favorite X-Files character--loved the show but didn't buy one bit of it as true...

ROFL!!

My hair stylist one time told me I had a lot of clear hairs. When I questioned her, she told me, in a conspiratorial whisper, that some people don't like to hear that they have gray hair!

LMBO -- give me a BREAK!!!

My screen name came from a Peter Green song called "The Supernatural".

Peter Green is the founder of Fleetwood Mac.

I tried to pick four other screen names first, but they were all taken, so I went with the name of a song by my favorite guitar player.

I'm married to a baseball coach, and mom to softball playing daughter and baseball playing son. I don't play, but am an INTJ (info for another thread) who keeps the scorebook.

I affectionately refer to my husband here on FR as "Mr. RightField" - a little play on words between him and me acknowledging that he is a recovering liberal, and I fancied myself a feminist back in the 1970's and 1980's. He and I have journeyed far in our 35 years together

BTW, my screen name came from the fact that I live in a state that is culturally "Red," yet we keep sending Robert KKK Byrdbrain back to Washington. Plus I spent my formative years in Illinois and grew up in California, where my views were so often out of sync with those of some of my classmates and teachers, so that made me a young WestVirginiaRebel.

BinHex - An encoding scheme that converts binary data into ASCII characters. Was commonly used by the older Mac operating system. Couldn't use my Vietnam radio callsign - it was classified - never could use my radio. Used arm and hand signals during the infamous Long Binh monkey hunt.
