FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006
Ms.Behavin

Posted on 03/15/2006 5:59:14 PM PST by StarCMC

What is the origin of your screen name?

Come tell us your story....

How'd ya choose your screen name?
A situation in your life?
Part of a song?
Your Military service?

For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin"
that decided it for me!
I bought a blouse that had that on the tag...
Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin..
Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"

So there ya have it!
Have fun!
Please, no politics in The Canteen..
We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!

Now tell us YOUR story!!

Buddy of mine was bipolar and went off his meds. Last I saw of him he was being hauled away naked by the police for throwing bricks at strangers from his 2nd story apt window.
Flash forward a few years later I was playing a video game online and I had found a new model of one of the characters naked, so I used that model using only a tire iron for a weapon. People would shoot RPGs at me and I would simply hop over their grenade and WHAP WHAP WHAP with the tire iron while they struggled to reload.
I decided my character was having a manic episode and changed my name and I've been using it ever since.

My screen name "Las Vegas Dave" was selected as we love vacationing in Las Vegas and the South West, in fact we just finished plans for our ( 17 th ) vacation last night for 8 glorious days at the Paris casino/hotel, and will be flying there in July.

Lol I understand completely - your mind is more disconnected from every day worries at, say, three AM, and so the ideas and words flow better. I suggest massive editing upon waking up at a time that makes sense, however, because some things written at 3am make no sense whatsoever in the light of day.

Also trying to figure out how you turn a verb to past tense in Japanese.... >< it's slow going.. I think I need to cross-ref to another site somewhere...

My screen name comes from the album Rainbow Rising by the hard rock band Rainbow. It's one of my favorite albums. I love Richie Blackmore's guitar work, and Ronnie James Dio's singing.

LOL yep. Sorry that my preview turned out like that. I copied and pasted from Microsoft Word but oddly it did not preserve the paragraph spaces like I thought it would. I absolutely loved the one about rain. I can identify with it a lot.

Do you have the soundtrack to "Pee Wee's Big Adventure?"

I'd love to hear track 2: "Breakfast Machine." It's a great song.

:) I was in an introspective mood when I wrote it. I really need to fix the way it's put together, though.. it looks odd the way it is, lol.

I think I figured out the verb thing.. now to work on the next part of the sentence...

LOL. I just read the third one you sent. Absolutely hilarious :) I love how you threw in the names like Sephiroth (sp?) and Barney and He Man in the argument between the characters.

My novel in its work-in-progress state is kind of a mess too because I am not writing it in chronological order LOL. I started with the third chapter and then worked on one, two, then six and then the rest. Still doing that.

Simple....
because of my faith in Him....and 65=1965...year of my birth. My Christian faith is the most important part of me....however difficult or sweet life may be....I know He is there watching over me....He is the Man on the mountain...He sees everything....and knows everything ...long before we do...we just have to trust in Him....and talk to Him...He is always there.
