In a devastating report released today, the GAO charges the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - this is the agency under the Department of Homeland Security that would be in charge of proposed Guest Worker Amnesty - with a failed organizational infrastructure and massive mismanagement and corruption.

Okay. Now this does not compute. What are they going to do if amnesty is passed, in some form? Ship the illegal immigrants back, due to mismanagement and corruption?

Plus, it stands to reason, if the USA is a good country to be in (I think it is), that there would be graft and corruption involved in "conveniently overlooking" those who are here without the necessary legal prerequisites. Nobody should be surprized at corruption in ANY program - more or less depending on the stakes and ease of getting around the law.

As we have all said numerous times the "MORAL IMPERATIVE" resides with the grassroots assembling a Uprising loud enough to shut down all the double speak politicians who refuse to do the "Will Of The People" This is one of the best reasons availiabe to press the point of we have had enough!

1. Seal border to halt illegals, decrease drug trafficking, tighten up homeland security.
2. Increase temporary work visas for people who will respect the American culture and abide by our laws.
3. Have Mexican soccer team play exhibitions throughout America; deport anyone in attendance.
4.Unload able bodied slugs from welfare roles to assume open menial jobs (no job is menial).

.....Nah. It all makes too much sense. Let's just do nothing like we're used to.

Chertoff is a complete moronic nincompoop without the brains to direct traffic, let alone be director of homeland security.

If there is any house cleaning done it needs to start with Chertoff. But nowhere do you see his name attached to his minions irregularities.

There is documented evidence that radical Islamists, with ties to terrorist organizations, have used the religious worker visa category to gain admission to the United States.

If al-quida ever performs a massive, terrorist strike against civilian targets from inside the US and then its discovered that they got in with all the illegal aliens that cross over every day...

There will be hell to pay for the party that prides itself on security, believe that.

This would make the uproar over the port issue look like nothing.

"...this attorney and his associates are alleged to have made at least $11.4 million for the 1,400 applications that the agent reviewed, in all of which he found evidence of fraud, and perhaps as much as $21.6 million if all 2,700 applications were fraudulent, as he strongly suspected."'

Just wondering how many of them have posted on FR declaring how wonderful illegal immigration is and demeaning the rest of us who wish to abide by the laws of our country.

Anyone surprised by what is in this report? Will anyone be surprised if it is ignored and disappears in a few days?

Has the "Newspaper of Record" reported this story yet? Or isn't this news "fit to print"? Everyone should realize that the INS under the Clintoon's pal, Doris Meisner, was for sale, just as was the Commerce Dept. That's why the hijacker of 9/11 were able to kill 3.000 innocents in the twin towers. This can of worms needs to be opened and someone needs to be charged for malfeasance.

obviously a guest worker program won't fix illegal immegration - it encourages it, but what about the following for an idea.
The reason Mexico encourages illegal immegration is that the money their illegal immigrants send back home is one of the top sources of the country's revenue. And how does an illegal immigrant send money from US to Mexico ... via a Bank Card. They deposit the money in a US bank and a relative withdraws it from the ATM machine in Mexico. Extremely easy.
Let's have the Senate Banking committee draw up a law that prevents intra-country withdrawls and the illegal immigration problem would be dramatically improved.
3 things would happen:
1) Illegalimmigrants in the US couldn't send the US-made money to Mexico. The money would stay in the US (good for America).
2) Since the money wouldn't go to Mexico, there is no reason for Mexico to encourage illegal immigration (bad for Mexico).
3) If an illegal immigrant got a job in the US and kept the money, they would be more likely to pay their own way, less likely to get government handouts (good for America).
Thoughts?
PS: It is my first post - be kind!

Juan Maria Garcia should immediately be placed in charge of the agency and its hiring policy.

...a single prominent immigration attorney in the Washington, D.C. ...

Let me guess. Falls Church/Alexandria? Maybe Herndon? Mexican restaurants, ethnic grocery stores and immigration attorneys seem to be the big growth businesses there.

I need to apologize to you for my claiming that CBP is the most corrupt division under DHS. I am sorry, and I was wrong. Turns out that CIS is more corrupt, and directs CBP regarding policy.

I'm shocked...SHOCKED I SAY! Yet another government program ineptly run by incompetent bureaucrats? Amazing. /sarcasm

It's time to FIRE every single federal, state and local government employee and make them re-apply for their jobs by proving they are useful. After about 35% never show up again because they are ghosts we can start saving real money and cutting budgets.

Oh wait...I'm dreaming! Their aren't enough of us voting anymore to stop this nonsense. Keep your guns clean.
