. . . apparent home intruder . . . kicked in the front door of the house. . .Maybe he got mixed up and thought it was his house and he'd forgotten his key.

...shots were exchanged and the intruder was hit. That's what I love, you'd think these dumbass criminals have never heard of a firing rang.
To: NCjim
The intruder, whose name was not released, left the scene in critical condition, but died shortly before arriving to a local hospital. I love happy endings!

WAY TO GO MOM!!!!!
She's probably going to be a nervous wreck going in to have her baby so soon after this. I wouldn't feel very comfortable about it. I hope she can leave her little ones in the care of someone in a safer neighborhood.

Of course the MSM will trumpet this as "another tragic gun death" if they mention it at all.

Eureka Springs is about 3 1/2 miles from my house. It's a little bedroom community on the east side of Fort Bragg that was build up in the late 40s, early 50s.
Newer subdivisions are going in just to the east of it.
Eureka Springs is characterized by older, smaller frame homes, a few duplex units, single wides and some double wides. Most residents are lower ranking military, some retired military and low income families. Typical unit is a rental.
Not really a "bad" area. Just the typical break in stuff most neighborhoods have if they don't have "Neighborhood Watch"
