This weekend some interesting developments appeared to rip some holes in the Wilson Gambit and further erode Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgeralds credibility.
David Corn of The Nation magazine and VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity) have pushed nonsensical claims that Valerie Plame was a nonofficial cover agent (NOC), supplying the necessary predicate for an Agee Act (Intelligence Identity Protection Act) prosecution. While I could find scant reporting in the pre-indictment period poking holes in this ridiculous notion, Saturdays Chicago Tribune carried five stories doing just that.
In two of the most significant articles, the paper showed how easy it was to mine data online and determine who was working for the agency, including finding people whod worked at the reported Plame undercover front Brewster-Jennings, people who listed that outfit in their online resumes.

Thank you, Cb-
Much appreciated.
Bradlee confirms the leaker was most likely Armitage. (Drudge)
True. Martha Stewart did prison time.
I can't get over how stoooopid the CIA was with Tenet in charge. All these confidential details are searchable from publicly accessible data mining sources .. out there for the world to see by inept CIA employees ???? Good God.
Clowns In Action
Hey, Gramps-
We are all supposed to appreciate that their ends justify their means. Bottoms up.
Well, the bottom is dropping out of the MSM stock values.
It appears at every step of the way the SP used a pretext to pursue the WH and discarded all evidence that the WH was only engaged in a perfectly legitimate effort to correct the record against a serial liar (Wilson), the Kerry camp , the left (VIPS) and Soros, and rheir friends in the press.
Between this and Ben Bradlee's speculation about Armitage being the source, it sure looks like the media's watching the sharks circle closer and closer to them, and are starting to throw people overboard to maybe distract them.
First Armitage, now Fitz. I wonder if that bastard Joe Wilson's starting to sweat a bit?
Yep, curiouser and curiouser.
I hope the whole thing blows up on Fitzie and Wilson/Plame.
Interesting article... considering.

Thanks for that cite. It only gets worse and worse for Ambassador Munchausen, doesn't it?

I should be thanking you for your post as without it the other would not have been as interesting, at least to me.
Yes, it is getting close to stamping that 70 year seal over this episode.
BUMP!
Thanks!
Hopefully Goss has been conducting an internal review to identify why such things were handled in such a manner.
I'd be happy to have the truth prevail...the natural consequences of that should follow.
