This is outrageous - I never called a major general a dirtbag. I spend a great deal of time with the military. I said what the general said was an outrage, when he said that opposition to the deal was Arab and Muslim bashing. You are a disgrace.

"Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General [Abizaid] a dirtbag"

You sure about that? 'Cause you better be damned sure before making that accusation around these parts.

Yeah, like a time traveler or something ~ Sean Hannity was interviewing Neil Boortz on, I believe, Thursday afternoon, and he mentioned he'd "worked on the docks" and Boortz responded that he'd been "a truck driver".

These ol'boys are UNION types Fur Shur.

You'd think after they got some money in their pockets they'd quit taking orders from the mob, but it looks like "in for a dime in for a dollar".

The cartoon from MSNBC, if that's where it came from, seems somewhat racist. Evidently when all their leftist idols like hillary and chuckie started ranting against the ports deal, they just couldn't help themselves.

FR isn't MSNBC.

You wrote this - "Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge" -- which is a complete lie. And I demand you withdraw it now.

Of course it wasn't racism, it was just profiling. It just happened that a lot of well-intentioned conservatives had it wrong. I was against the deal, when I first heard about it.

DANG! You are NOT helping here!

I believe we are right on the deal because of facts..

but when you have to lie about someone.. you make us look like we cannot stand on the legitimacy of our stand...

DANG!

I am not sure I would characterize it as racism. But I would agree to calling it Arabphobia. And it was a populist expression of both conservatives and democrats.

I think the US openly expressing their fear of Arabs and their desire not to have them invested in critical US industry and infrastructure is a very important signal to send to the Arab world.

The message should be perfectly clear. There are consequences to what you do and who you are.

Actually, the UNCLE TOM'S CABIN/ CAKEWAILK poster is NOT a racial pejorative; no matter what the NAALCP says. There were horrifically bad cartoons of Negroes, that you could have and should have used instead.

More to the point, though, would have been the political cartoons, that made the Irish look like apes in clothes, which would be closer to the ridiculous anti-Arab cartoon.

I am late to this party but please provide the source for your claim that Mark Levin called Gen. Abizaid a "dirtbag."

Well at least you started out throwing down that race card. Imo, race has nothing to do with it. It is the adherence to a religion called Islam. They are bound to the Quran which calls for them to wipe out the Infidel. That would be us, but you should know that by now. Yes, I will let my cats guard the bird cage. Duuuuuh! Terrorists come in all colors.

YIKES! That's the last time I volunteer to transcribe a radio show. It took me a good 30 minutes to get the first few minutes. But, as they say, I report, you decide.

Transcript: Mark Levin Show Thursday 9 March, 2006

As heard on WBAP - Ft. Worth, Texas beginning at 1806.

Good evening my friends, this is Mark Levin. Our number is 877-381-38-11. 877-381-3-8-1-1.

We are scheduled to have Tom Delay on in about a half an hour. A good man. Talk a little bit about his great victory as well as the ports deal.

I just saw something that troubles me a great deal. As you know, I do speak from my heart here and my mind most of the time, but the point is I speak openly and honestly to you. Even when we get into difficult situations.

And I saw General Abizaid at a press conference on Fox News after a hearing of some kind. And he said that this port deal, and I paraphrase, was about ... no I don't paraphrase ... arab and muslim bashing. So I guess that's telling you 70% of the American people I'm sick to my stomach with those mud balls. Absolutely sick to my stomach with them. I will not tolerate it here or anywhere else. Maybe some of it is, but most of it is not.

The American people are not racists. The American people are not anti-Mexican or immigration when they stand up against illegal immigration. No more. Not here, even when it is spewed by a general.

Maybe, you know generals have been wrong in the past, but this is not his area of expertise. I understand he has a Lebanese background, but so what? That doesn't mean you get to condemn most of the American people.

Shame, shame, shame on you.

Now I think it's over. As long as the spewing ends from some of my own side, I think it's over. Far as I can tell. This UA-E deal.

And the Senate liberals are very depressed tonight. They are hanging their heads you can see it all over television. They thought they had a big issue. They thought they sold the American people. Schmuckie Schumer still fights. He said the devil's in the details. So Schmuckie is still chasing his tail.

Harry Reed still wants a vote on the nonexistent deal, proving once again that some people were affected by nuclear tests conducted in Nevada 40 years ago.

[He goes on from here, but I think this covers the comments in question]
