Did Race play a role in the Port Deal discussions? The very charge is met by the likes of Sean Hannity and others with Righteous Indigination. In fact, to mention it makes you the true problem. Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge. The below cartoons may be an issue now in the UAE. They are not cartoons about that ole darn prophet however. THere will be no boycotts over these but remember still they dont help things. The cartoonist just give us what we want sometimes. From MSNBC the following cartoon. There were many others that through the glory of the net are available to all.

More to the point, though, would have been the political cartoons, that made the Irish look like apes in clothes, which would be closer to the ridiculous anti-Arab cartoon.

In 2004, Bush wasn't being attacked by Conservatives repeating the media's lies. In 2006, many conservative talking heads seem to be a lot more willing to jump on the lying media's hit parade.

we understand the fact just fine, don't argue your point by claiming that the 81% of americans who opposed this port deal, the majority of republicans also - simply didn't know the facts. for weeks, you tried to win this argument by parsing words - "own", "operate", "lease" - it's not working.

My arguments were very simple ~ (1) The propaganda piece, on the face of it, was patently false, and the facts of the deal were so different from what was portrayed, that no rational discussion could be made with people who believed the initial leftwing story. And (2) That due to our use of Dubai as a major center of ME operations, activities on our part that put our use of Dubai at risk actually endangered our troops.
The General is the one who accused you'all of racism, and I'm not the General!

I think this is an arguement that needs to be had right now...and get it over with.
It is over, like Mark said....but, we need to work together against Schumuckie other antics...and we can't do that while letting this tear us apart.
I would guess his first kindergarten teacher did that, and by the time he got to the third one they were constantly on him to wipe that smirk off his face.
