Since the Oscars, 'Bareback Mountin' has dropped off the radar screens. I wonder why? </sarcasm>

a project based on Richard A. Clarke's best-selling memoir

The same guy who published a piece in the summer of 2001 saying the greatest threat to America was from cyberterrorism. What a genius.

Seriously.

Hollywood is finished.

Paul Haggis and his ilk have placed the nails into the coffin.

Mr Clarke was one of the few top officials from the Clinton era to be retained by George W Bush's administration.

If things go as badly for the GOP this fall as many are predicting, then we can probably expect quite a bit of gloating from Hollywood, as they will probably be under the delusion that they played some part in it.

I saw "Crash" with some friends. One person heard good things on it.

One of the worst movies I ever saw. We all hated it and mentioned how we felt like walking out within 15 minutes, but each felt they had to stay because of the others.

Seems to be a mistake on Bush's part.

Cheeze, this article isn't a news report -- even an entertainment news report. It's a blinking press release!

Limbaugh was right -- way too many of today's reporters just sit around waiting for their "news stories" to come in over the fax.

There wasn't one value perpetuated by Crash worth keeping, except the scene where Dillon pulled the lady out of the burning vehicle, near the end.

The film could have been called "Trash".

Today's reporters are excedingly lazy. All they need to do is rehash Reuters or the AP.

Is Haggis the clown who, about a week ago, said he was sympathetic with suicide bombers??

This is one gripe one can honestly hold against the Bush administration. For all his (billions and billions) of character flaws - WJ Clinton understood what you just said.

He FED the media. They still have shills posting daily spin, and they had an active "war room" stage-managing the media from the beginning of the campaign. See Howard Kurtz' "Spin Cycle" for some background.

Bush doesn't give a rip.

Not that that's a bad thing - but Rove should. Others in the adminstration should. The media needs to publish, or be darned. They need FOOD. Even if it comes in faxes, and internet publicity.

This administration needs to more actively spin the media. Every day. Otherwise they sit around pouting about being ignored - and criticize.
