Are the basements that most of you have under your home enough for an emergency shelter?
Good in Chicago
Going to bed with my scanner now
Safety to all Freeper's and their loved ones
Not just golf ball hail but tornados as well. Republic, North Springfield both had touchdowns. Further north towards Stockton a trailer park blown apart, house flattened etc. I'm in the middle and the most we got was a heavy rain as the squall line passed through about 10 minutes or so ago.
Have a good and safe night.
Sorry you folks are having any troubles.
Okay, so what happen when those strong storm cells go over a body of water like Lake Michigan or Lake Erie? Does it make it stronger or weaken it?

hugz my desert friend and gratitude
more than happy...stay safe!
some are... My basement is 1/2 buried in the ground on the back side of it.
Most homes have basements around here, but there are many mobile homes around and many steel sheet buildings.
It is very rural here and some folks with farms will have cellars. I am too far out to hear any sirens, so that I why I stay awake. Normally hail will fall right before a tornado hits.
;)
Night and thanks!
Thanks Howlin!
