"“We’re going to have to reclaim our community and get organized,” he said, “because what they have done is ... redefine what blackness is, redefined what leadership is, and if they can redefine what blackness and leadership is, they they don’t have to worry about us going anywhere because by definition, we’re not going anywhere.”

"......or I'll lose my gravy train, suckers."

“All of a sudden, in the ’90s, the black political leader of America became Bill Clinton,” Sharpton said to applause from a crowd of around 200. “(Informed black voters) were calling a white male from Arkansas — who advocated the death penalty, the crime bill and the welfare reform bill — black.”

I don't remember Al complaining then. It's also nice to see Al put the emphasis with regards to being black on crime and welfare. What the black community REALLY doesn't need is clowns like Sharpton defining what blackness is.

"Sharpton doesn't understand that blacks have been used by white "progressives" to further the white gay agenda and the white communist agenda."

Of course he understands, he just wants to maintain the status quo so that he doesn't lose his cut of the action.

The Sharptons will be with us as long as the MSM deems them newsworthy.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

MSM? How often does Hannity give him or that wacko "Black Panther" air time?

More like: "You all bought us from other Black tribes in Africa who defeated us and sold us captured slaves to you White folks. You Whites brought us to foreign shores to do your slave labor. You owe us, Big Time! You have to take care of us."

Seems like the words of Sharpton behind the words of Sharpton.

There's nothing "insider" about it.It's just a playful.. and sarcastic...rearrangement of words meant to show contempt and ridicule for Billy's willingness to hit anything that wore a skirt....and Hillary's obvious willingness to look the other way so as to not derail her quest for money and power.

Rice and Thomas, not Sharpton and Jackson, are the future for blacks in America. When a critical mass of blacks finally understands this, the Democratic Party will collapse and become a permanent minority force in national politics. Our task is to hasten the arrival of that glorious day.

I saw the tape of Rev Al negotiating a big-time coke deal. He brushed it off and was given a pass by MSM investigative journalists.

I am watching America become South Africa before my eyes.

This country was founded upon individuals seeking freedom.
This country was created by individuals utilizing freedom.
This country prospered by individuals under freedom.
At least for the first approximate 175 years.

People like Sharpton, J. Jackson, Clinton and other pimps keep their subjects ignorant in order to compound individual power they would not otherwise possess. (Roosevelt?) They exist off this power, for if ever, the masses were trully informed, the masses would shed pimps like them into the graves of obscurity.

They do not ask for EQUAL rights, which they currently have, they require EXTRA rights above and beyond the rest of the population in order to "further our goals". Why?...because the whites OWE it to them, not because they earned it. BS. (see what the UN did to SA?)

GWB has appointed more minorities into positions of REAL power than ANY other president to date, including "the first black president". And he hasn't yet assassinated one that I know of (BROWN). Yet, the pimp-meisters continue to race bait (ABCCBSNBCCNNPBS) based on the fact that they have no human rights...give me a break...they currently have MORE rights than whites, and they're STILL not satisified. ASK YOURSELF...HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?!!!!

Is it enough that if a white person murders a black person then it is a "hate crime"? Is the black person less dead? But if a black person murders a white person, is it only robbery? Is the white person less dead? Pimpslogic tells us that no [rich] white person would murder a black person for his money, because he has none because of the white suppression...
But, if a black person murders a white for his money, it is because the white person either stole it from the black or "profitted" off the backs of his ancestors (slaves), therefore giving the black more rights than the white, even if the black was high on "crack" and didn't know what he was doing(?).
Where the F@*k is the logic?
Answer: There is none. It's all about pimpin'. And we know who does it best (DNC).
The tide IS turning, after 40+ years, the minorities in some communities are finally asking themselves "WTF?"

I only hope we are not already a "South Africa".

"The activist criticized the images of black youth perpetuated by white-owned record labels, noting that a hip-hop song titled “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” won an Academy Award last week for Best Original Song."

Yeah, and millions and millions of white American youths saw the picture and bought the CD. /Sarcasm switch off/

"Whatever you do, don't let Whitey redefine blackness as successful, positive, or constructive," Sharpton added between bites of a pepperoni pizza. "You must cling to the identity you've been given by your betters -- like me. The black community knows that 'blackness' implies marginalization, poverty, ignorance, criminality, misogyny, and reactionism," he said with a resounding belch.

To the degree black culture is simply a reaction to white culture, white culture largely defines it already!

Shuck and jive don't cut it Al. A hair degreasing might help too. But of course I don't want to define your blackness.

I only hope we are not already a "South Africa".

In parts of America like the Deep South and Washington DC, it's already South Africa crime wise and political corruption wise.

Bottom rung done moved up and wishes to get paid.

Contrast Katrina and the aftermath between New Orleans and Mississippi Gulf Coast and you get the picture.

Folks get the leaders they wish for....I am truly sorry for well meaning blacks caught up in this garbage. They told us 30 years ago that a larger black middle class would fix that.

Wrong, it's actually worse and more well off blacks vote liberal plantation mentality same as poor ones.

The ones who have shucked all that crap have done so because somewhere in their family someone held to their guns and tried to keep alive a decent culture they had prior to the Great Society or they pushed to reclaim that and they could be moneyed Sugar Hill Harlem or Sugar Ditch Mississippi....they just pushed to get back that integrity and dignity and reclaim a real family with real daddies and discriminating mommas...and a traditional faith in God that most blacks I knew growing up had..

Any culture that embraces the thuggishness and drooge lifestyle so popular today cannot survive on it's own.

Which means white trash is just as screwed up now too. (and others who enjoy all that gross pocket pool posturing too)

a noble but tall order.

personally Elder, Innis (both), Sowell and Williams and Thomas are my black inspirations

plus some long dead blacks from my youth who I remember as being solid responsible folks who worked their ass off for their families and bore no hostility to me for being a cracker.....they were a part of my life from birth to adulthood and were genuinely kind to me....and they had a lot more reason to be angry than today's young Clockwork Orange imitator

i can't get past Rice's pro-choice stance...sorry.

she's a heckofan administrator and representative I assume but her demographics seem to be her strong suit...which sorta defeats the purpose of getting away from identity politics

;>)

Why-oh-why does "blackness" have to be a separate thing? (rhetorical)

Funny how those who tagged along with MLK and his be-not-judged-by-the-color-of-his-skin wishes are trying to keep MLK's dream from existing. Most of the common people have moved on from the total stupidity of the 50's racism; but the likes of this money-milking sharpton-jerk are working hard to keep their cash-cow pumping. Sharpton's freaking out because people are trying to follow MLK's dream.
