Me too I'm gonna open that bottle of wine.
And I agree that, here it is 1940 Year of Our Lord, and gosh golly gee, how advanced and modern a culture are we if we can't let Herr Krupp run the freight terminus at the Port of New York and that well-spoken Japanese fellow's company run the logistical operation at our Navy Port at Pearl Harbor! It is simply race-baiting some of the stuff we see posted here about so vile, vicious rumours -- death camps, massive rapes in Nanking.
Not all Freepers have The Bias against the Germans and the Japanese, you know. Many are mortified and saddened by how all of us in America have been painted abroad!
We Freepers are SERIOUS about Security, yet we do not look under our beds every ten minutes to check for the bogeyman of a "Hun", or a "Nip", who may or may not be radical master classes of sumerai warriors and martially proud ubermenshcen, who see us as lower profane forms of humans, suitable only for slavery or extermination.
Thanks for the quotes and the link to that thread.
Lenin, I mean Levin is too vain to wear tri-focal lenses so he looks like he is trying to contact mars or Venus from the floor of the Senate.
When you deny in total any valid arguments from your opponents, you will always lose. You may win a day, you WILL lose weeks, months and years. Nothing, nothing, nothing energizes unstoppable counter-forces than such an arrogance of attitude.
Thanks again...I am having a hard enough time keeping up with this thread...that I haven't had time to check for these threads...so I appreciate the links.
Well, it's been fun but I must go now.
I waded into a thread almost unanimously opposed to my view, but the flaming hasn't been too bad especially with a drinkie or two to sustain me. LOL. As well as *gasp* some civil discussion.
Thanks, FReepers. (How's that for diplomacy? LOL.)
I just found out how to get the cork out of the wine bottle without all the aggravaiton. Just put it in the freezer and leave it there all nightlong. It floats right out.
I believe New York
Pence was trying to not speak ill of other Republicans. It appeared to be hard for him to hold his tongue, but it sure looked as though he could have unloaded had he wanted to.
Pence, IMHO, did the right thing. These problems can be handled internally and are best when done that way. Pence is learning to temper his comments, and as a good leader needs to be able to do.
I'd really like to hear the report when you see Mark Foley in person.
That deal was between Britain and Dubai...Dubai volunteered to hold off on the deal.
Why would Bush have to "put a hold" on it..when Dubai did it on their own. I think I read that they would have to do this..because the US couldn't arbitrarily do it.
It was a poor joke as well

I think in a way at this stage of the Game he will be better off to dance around the Issue. Every day I see more and more progress in Pre natal care, and everything having to do with Pregnancy and Birthing is more and more out there where everyone can see that it is not a blob. My Niece is typical of most Mother's to be, she is up on everything having to do with her Pregnancy and the Birth. Women that got C's in school can spout more medical lingo and procedures having to do with their condition than some Nurses I know. Because my Niece has a Child that had an undiagnosed Heart Condition that required open heart Surgery at two days, she is getting the 4D Ultrasound where you see all the organs. Many couples are having this done even without a possible problem, and they take a picture of their developing baby home with them grinning ear to ear. We are winning with technological advances and more Educated Mom's to be. In the next few months the Pubbie candidates should get educated themselves on this, and then can be honest and not stumble or dance around the issue.
You did debate like we all would like our FReebates to be done...
Thanks for joining us today...don't be a stranger.
This is information I have researched about Medicare D ---
Because the msn has made this out to be a BIG confusion - I put off looking into Medicare D until now. Oh I had already called AARP who I get my supplemental thru and was not pleased with their plan. So this is what I found....today
MEDICARE ... DRUG PLAN (in Hawaii)
1. $22.85 per month premium...
2. No cost for Rx until MEDICARE has paid out $2250.00 -** except you do pay a copay of $5.00 or $28.00 or $55.00 copay depending on generic vs name brand AND your Dr can fax a request for the drug he desires & eliminate the higher copay
3. When Medicare reaches $2250.00 in drugs payouts *** then all drug will become your responsibility UNTIL costs reach $3600.00 Then Medicare will pick up 95% and you will pay 5%.
Medicare D recap
1. Monthly Premium .. $22.85
2. Copay .. $ 5.00 +
3. No deductible
4. No expense to patient until Medicare has paid out $2250.00
5. Drug expenses from $2250.00 - 3600.00 is patient responsibility.
6. From $3600.00 on with no limit Medicare pays 95% and patient pays 5% -- until the end of the year!!
Now for an AARP partnered plan -- Supplemental #J ( I don't know what else to call it).
AARP Partnered Supplemental Plan J RX plan. ... Drug Plan
1. $80.00 (aprox) premium per month
2. Deductible of $250.00
3. THEN the non government program will pay 50% and you pay 50% of the RX up to $3000.00 (which includes your 50% and the $250.00 deductible). After $3000. has been paid out ALL RX pay-outs are finished or as they say here pau until the next year starts - and so does the deductible start again.
AARP Plan recap
1. $80.00 premium - aprox.
2. $250.00 deductible YOU have to reach.
3. private plan does a 50/50 with patient after deductible has been met.
4. when expenses reach $3000.00 (including the $250. ded. and include patients part of the 50/50 the coverage STOPS not to begin again until the next year.
I do not know how MEDICAL SAVINGS ACCOUNTS plays into this!!!

Peter King is not to be trusted, IMHO. He has too many ties to shady types (IRA, longshoremen, Clintonistaas) and while he has said some good things about the WOT, I think it has all been self-serving.
Ugh...yes, poor joke, poor taste....but, leave it to ole Bob Schieffer to proclaim HIM the star of the show!!
BTW..where are you getting the quote??? Is there a thread with the transcript of the Dinner?
