IF democrats win the HOUSE in '08, John Conyers, who keeps calling for Bush's impeachment, will become the chairman of the House Judicial Committee. Massive shudder and cringe.

He's still dumb enough to believe that they'll give him an even-chance.From what I saw today, I think he is getting the message.

That was 14 years ago. Times have changed, and so has his opinion. Quite frankly, so has mine, and mine mirrors his opinion.

Morning POC, is it too early for you to get a sense of how the port/deal will effect US/Dubai relations?
First of all, I posted a few more post-mortem articles earlier today---while you guys were in dreamland. Read them for a feel.
However, my company is already feeling the negative business impact with several big bucks projects in the pipeline. However, we won't know absolutely the truth until some of these contracts end up going to Europe or the Far East. Before this fiasco, it was simply good business for the locals to reinvest/spend those Petro-dollars with the USA---their best oil customer.

I must admit that I agree with the VP and the way he treated Leahy 18 months ago may not agree with the language used but certainly the sentiment.
People should not be allowed to bad mouth people behind their backs impune their integrity and then try to be best buddy. Unfortunately as head of State the President has to put up with this to a certain extent that is where of course our Prime Minister being just the elected leader can of course be more forceful in that type of situation.

Me too.
Just thinking of who would be in charge of what committee, should the Democrats win eithe the House or Senate, is enough to give any honest conservative nightmares. Add in what a Hillary cabinet would have running things, and it's enough to keep us awake all night.
Do we really want another Janet Reno or Donna Shalala? Or someone like Sandy Berger? (Brrr... I get cold chills just thinking about it all.)
To: anita
Excellent summary.
I realize that Fox News is in business to make money, and Rupert Murdock saw the untapped market of conservative viewers in 1996, when hi hired Roger Ailes to run the channel.
Over the years, we conservatives petitioned every cable company to get Fox news on the air all over the country. I bet they finally have full saturation, and now do not need to rely on our loyalty. So we get Marvin Kalb, Wesley Clark, Martin Frost...
If I wanted to hear their opinion I would have stayed with CNN.

Why don't these Pubbies get a clue on the fact that the polls are BOGUS??!!! Careful there SC we don't want the facts to get in the way of MSM spin. They have to reinvent news the way their DNC stalking points tell them too.
