Chris Matthews Struck Dumb by McCain Response.

Caught the last two minutes of Hardball. Matthews had corralled 6 Republicans at the Tennessee convention to ask who they would be voting for. The three men said Frist. Two women said Rice. I didn't catch the third woman. When he asked if they would vote for McCain they all said no. Chris looked like he would pass out, because John is his boy. He asked them again and this time they said he was a fence sitter and an opportunist. It was a golden moment. Try to catch it on the repeat.

Yes, indeedy. I watched the entire program because Txsleuth and I both kind of keep an eye out for their "worst moments" and she said she would be unavailable, but asked if I would watch for this in particular. I was happy to do so and kept a little running commentary for her while waiting. Nada. Gone down the memory hole. It was not included.

So it was on the 5 o'clock show but not on the 7 o'clock one?

Now, who can we notify about that. How about Newsbusters? Mark, there has been a little bit of hanky panky on the Hardball show. See this thread. The event to which it refers was cut from the later runs of the show: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1594156/posts

Too bad it wasn't in the repeat.

Great. I thought about Bozell also. The media is going to push McCain with all they've got and that means squashing any negative stories. So it begins.

Nope, not kidding. Some of us have contacted Newsbusters and Brent Bozell about the curious omission.

So it begins is right, Bah.
The Scurry-n-Squash Shifty Shuffle.
Aka "Dancing with the Deceitful."
I hear it's like watching a trainwreck. I also hear it's NOT a reality show.

"I thought Chris and Howard dance around that point because they can't quite accept the fact that McCain is not beloved by the Republican rank and file."
It may have not been this show that I heard him say that. But sometime today, maybe in his earlier 5:00(est) show, he mentioned that McCain could be doing this to avoid losing.

That was the show I saw. I guess I just thought they were half hearted about it. After all Howard did say he was speaking to delegates in the hotel and they looooooved McCain.

You saw the show that was in the hotel where they had ducks walking around the lobby? Just checking to see if we viewed the same show.
