That's a cute smiley.
Thank you so much EmG. I have felt the steadying, upholding influence of your prayers.
I don't know how people get through such things w/o God as their help.

Oh hoosierpearl, I will add you and your family to my prayers!
My brother had been ill the last month, went to the hospital for some tests, and while there aspirated some hospital food, which led to pneumonia, a coma, and a very weakened state. He rallied, then had the aneurysm burst. After his cancer surgeyr 12 years ago, he had to put a lot more effort into eating and breathing, so I can imagine something of what your dad is going through.
Grace to you, and peace, in Jesus' Name.

Mom is in Tennessee. Mr Oh has gone down every spring to help her with yardwork, etc, since his Dad has been gone (10 years).
I like solitude too, Pat. With youngest daughter gone, I've had more 'on my own' time, but it is kind of nice to have every decision based on what I want to do and a completely free schedule.
However, I miss him already, and anxiously await Sunday evening!

Hello everyone -
I have some good news and bad news.
The good news is I got a job offer from a Big Ten university, which I'm going to take. I'm not quite done with the dissertation yet, but I can see the light at the end of the PhD tunnel.
The bad news is that I just found out my step-father (who raised me since I was about 8) has lung cancer and is starting treatments. If those so inclined would add 'Theo' to their prayers, I'd appreciate it.

That line about liking his own bedroom reminded me that he was ridiculed for taking his own pillow on the campaign trail in 2000.
I just thought it was sweet...........and maybe that it carried the scent of Laura, and made him feel better away from her.......and the more I find out about them, the more likely a possibility that seems to be.

His Mom adores her little boy. His sisters tease him that he's her favorite child..........but I'm inclined to agree. She's a smart woman, and he's very loveable!
