You are one special FReeper, Star. Thank you.
God bless you.
If you could see His glorious face
You would know His amazing grace
If you could see the compassion in His eyes
You would know He sees every tear you cry
If you could see He has inscribed You in His hand
You would know through every trial He helps you to stand
If you could see Him in all of His awesome glory
You would know He is the One who has made you holy
If you could see yourself inside His loving heart
You would know He wants to heal every wounded part
If you could feel His unconditional love for you
You would know His plans are good and loving too
If you could find your rest in His perfect peace
You would know from your works you could cease
If you could hear Him rejoicing over you with gladness
You would know He is able to take your sadness
If you could see what He has prepared for you
You would praise Him without ceasing in all you do
Father I pray for every eye to be opened to see, every ear
to hear and every heart to know the fullness of Christ,
the glory of Your Kingdom and the hope we have in You.
Thanks, Starwise, and all the others who responded to my prayer request. And thanks for the well wishes on the job front.
I can't believe the PhD odyssey is almost over. You worry so much about whether you will even get a position after all of your effort and I actually turned away interviews because I had too many to handle! Truly an embarassment of riches. I could do the girl thing and say I was lucky, but shoot, I worked hard!
I'll let the board know how things go w/my step-father. My mother didn't want to talk about it, just that he's going to start treatment. However,I don't know if she's telling me the whole story, so we'll see.
Why don't you start one in your community? If you contacted the state headquarters, they probably know where a group meets near you or could give you some advice on starting a club and also give you the names of some republicans in your area.
Thank you for the Dose! Just stopped in to look at todays photos before bed.
Mama, so sorry to hear about your husband's problems. He will be in my prayers.
My dad passed away early this evening. I found out soon after I posted that note earlier on the thread [55?]. I've been on the phone with family, looking through pictures for the obituary. Funeral will be in Columbus IN next week. Probably Tuesday or Wednesday.
My sincere condolences on your loss, hpearl. And the prayers will continue.
Here is my treasure from last night: Josh and me:
This is the wounded soldier at Walter Reed who, when he first got to WR, received a death threat in the mail at the hospital. He has been on the Sean Hannity, and I think Fox News. He came out to visit our "FReep" (Support the Troops demonstration) Friday night. This kid, on crutches because he is about to loose his leg below the knee, walked around all four corners of our event thanking us for supporting them. We are so fortunate to have young men like this defending us!
"Here is my treasure from last night: Josh and me:"
What a treasure it is.....two wonderful HEROES!!! What a great photo of you both! Thank you for coming out! I know it can be difficult for you at times. You look great.
Would you consider posting this awesome photo over here?

And prayers continue for your step-dad and family.
You will be in our prayers as you go through this terrible grief. May God bring you great comfort.
All I can say is WOW!
You are a great American! . . . thank you for supporting our incredibly courageous troops!
[BTW: My family and I mailed Josh a HUGE box of goodies; he responded with a beautiful thank you note -- I will treasure it always!]
May God lift you up during this time of great sorrow! I will keep you in my prayers!
Which photo there were several at the link you posted?
We try to add to last weeks report until the After Action Report from the current week goes up.
Thanks Snugs. Sorry about the confusion. It is 280 +/- 3 miles round trip. The smiles and hugs from my heroes make it all very worthwhile. There is NO PLACE I'd rather be on Friday night!
