Chicago police say as many as 100,000 protestors are gathering outside the Chicago Federal Center to voice their concerns about a house bill that would tighten immigration laws. The massive demonstration has blocked many streets in the Loop.

The border security bill would make it illegal to assist any undocumented immigrant. That measure is drawing the attention of numerous groups and lawmakers on both sides of the issue.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered at the Chicago Federal Center to protest the house bill 4437. They believe the bill discriminates against undocumented residents and those who try to help them and it robs them of a chance at the American dream.

Just saw this on TV. Thousands of illegals demanding "their" rights. In Mexico, any foreign national is going to jail for protesting.

100,000? Don't these people have jobs?
Luckily, I don't think they vote.

it robs them of a chance at the American dream.

Where does it say that someone can enter the country illegally and demand a chance at the American dream?

Especially when they are siphoning off public services that are provided for legitimate citizens who paid for it with their tax dollars. This is theft of services, plain and simple.

Yeah, and laws against burglary discriminate against burglars. And sending them to jail robs them of a chance at the American dream as well.

Did you watch the video at the link? They were bragging about how many illegals were in attendance. My problem with the whole thing is why do they not get going through the channels to 'become' legal?

This is not the United States of Mexico

"... 100,000 protestors are gathering outside the Chicago Federal Center to voice their concerns about a house bill that would tighten immigration laws."

WTF?

80% of the demonstrators will likely be illegals; it will be easier to round the up that way. It'll never happen though!

Thousands of demonstrators gathered at the Chicago Federal Center to protest the house bill 4437. They believe the bill discriminates against undocumented residents who are doing nothing more than breaking the law and those who try to help them break the law and it robs them of a chance at the American dream to continue breaking the law.
