Well, chlorine should have been in the pool, what kept contaminants out?

In our younger days we always looked forward to using the pools and jacuzzis at the hotels/motels along the way. In recent years, we stay clear of them. Most are NOT well maintained (unless you carry a pH kit with you when you travel). Also, just about anyone can use those facilities and we can't be sure about their personal hygiene or what someone else may have put into the water (bathroom challenged or toddler dirty diaper syndrome).

Glad to know that I am not the only "phobic" who avoids hotel swimming pools, jacuzzis, and hot tubs. IMHO they are breeding grounds for all kinds of nasty stuff.

I also carry Lysol wet wipes to clean hotel toilet seats, shopping cart handles, public restroom door handles, etc.

Tip to all: when traveling, do not ever put your luggage on the floor in a hotel room. Use the rack provided. (usually there is one available) Even the best hotels are beginning to have problems with bed bugs. (another immigrant problem?) Those horrid little creatures would just love to hop a ride to your home, from the carpet to your luggage.
