Man found at O'Hare sent home to Romania

A Romanian man who mysteriously showed up at O'Hare Airport after coming to Chicago for a marriage that never happened was sent home Tuesday, immigration officials said.

Marcel Macovei, 26, has been detained at the McHenry County jail since the first week of March, when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement became aware that he had apparently been living at O'Hare months after overstaying his visa. The jail has a contract with the immigration department to house illegal immigrants.
