"Iranian official in Washington for ... who knows?"
IranMania.com ^ | April 18, 2006 | IranMania

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "LONDON, April 18 (IranMania) - The US State Department confirmed a senior official from arch-US nemesis Iran was in Washington but would not say how he got into the country or what he was doing here, AFP reported.
Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Mohammad Nahavandian was in town but added, "He's not here for meetings with US government officials to my knowledge; certainly not with members of the State Department."
McCormack said Nahavandian had not been issued a visa but was in the United States legally. He did not elaborate but said only, "There are a variety of other ways for an individual to arrive in the country."
The Washington foray by Nahavandian, described as an economic aide to Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, was first reported 10 days ago by Britain's Financial Times newspaper.
The rare sighting of a senior Iranian official in Washington comes at a moment when Iran's showdown with the West over its suspected nuclear weapons activities was nearing a climax."
I'm shocked, shocked, absolutely shocked that he would assault a border agent with a car. Who'd ever thought a human smuggler would try to do something like that?
Are we now suppose to be hand fed to believe, that his smuggled cargo, and the other 190,000 Hispanics, in U.S. jails were here to do work, that us American's don't want to do, hmmmm!
I know, they were here because of Sen. McInsane's offer to pick lettuce for $50.00/hr, yep, that's gotta be the answer (sarcasm). Better idea, let'm pick the lettuce first, then arrest them!

Criminals and alleged criminals don't like to be caught.
Thanks LT....I think that the overall response to help those affected by Katrina gave everyone the needed shock to their system to realize that you need to get ready for you and yours first...and not depend on anyone...especially those gov. agencies.
Los Angeles Daily News: "Obeying federal law and joining the war on terrorism seem to be optional as far as City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo is concerned. And he'll have no part of either. This is Los Angeles after all, where City Hall has a long history of accommodating criminals while doing their best to make life miserable for hard-working, taxpaying, law abiding people. Delgadillo is merely continuing a long tradition. In June 2002, he announced that should the Bush administration ask local governments to help enforce federal immigration law, L.A. will not cooperate. That's good news for terrorists." |
Opinion...We'll probably find out in the end that the fear of the bird flu will cause more damage than the actual virus.
First LA Case Of Bubonic Plague Reported Since 1984

CT Blog to Merge With "Fourth Rail" and Move - New Foundation to Fund Our Efforts
Recently, I've had the pleasure to meet Bill Roggio, editor of "The Fourth Rail" and one of the best military bloggers, and get to know him well. After much discussion, we've decided to merge our resources into a single Counterterrorism Blog. This is an excellent opportunity, and our Contributing Experts greatly look forward to working with Bill at the new Counterterrorism Blog. We will be posting at the new Counterterrorism Blog site full time as of Thursday; the site is being redesigned and will go live at midnight Wednesday night Eastern time (or 12:00 am Thursday morning). We will automatically redirect readers to the new site at that time. All of our current features will be available at the new site, and we expect to add more streaming videos and presentations. The new site will be free of commercial ads.(snip)

On a personal note:
I've been a big fan of Bill Roggio's site

Hi Cindy. Long time no talk with.
You know, the whole illegal immigration mess is evolving into one big, huge pot of criminals. Our benevolent elected officials included. It's been very disappointing to watch!
