MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) Bahrain's interior minister says 44 bodies have been recovered so far from the ferry sinking in the Persian Gulf.
I've been finding many DEMOCRATS are also seeing red with politicians over the immigration issue, same as us. Hillary is serving to alienate them. They also want tough controls and no giving in to criminals who have no right to be here. We are not alone on this issue. Businesses (large and small) however, fear the clamp down and are making their voices (campaign contributions) heard loud and clear on the other side of the issue. Thus far it appears Washington only hears the voices of business. They are deaf to our outrage.

A bump for you -You tell em' Sista M'Dear!
The Democrats' national security plan is out. And it's looking damned good.
The Democratic policy papers, which were leaked to the New York Times yesterday, apparently don't contain much that's new. Target Osama. Increase financing for Special Ops. Spend more on economic development in places like the Middle East. Better screening at ports and nuclear plants. Better training of emergency health workers. More body armor for our troops. John Kerry talked about much of this in 2004.

60 MINUTES: OSAMA BIN LADEN'S FORMER PERSONAL BODYGUARD IS CERTAIN THE AL-QAEDA LEADER IS PLANNING A NEW ATTACK AGAINST THE U.S.
Thu Mar 30, 2006 14:31:00
In the First Television Interview of an Al-Qaeda Member Close to Osama Since 9/11, Abu Jandal Offers First-Hand Details About the Most-Wanted Man in the World.
A former personal bodyguard of Osama Bin Laden says he is certain the al-Qaeda leader is planning an attack on the U.S. In the first television interview with an al-Qaeda member close to bin Laden since 9/11, Abu Jandal tells Bob Simon first-hand details about the world's most wanted man for a 60 MINUTES report to be broadcast Sunday, April 2 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Abu Jandal, who was with bin Laden in Afghanistan from 1996 to 2000, says bin Laden's last tape on which he threatened consequences to the U.S. is not a threat, but a promise. "When Sheik Osama promises something, he does itÉ.So I believe Osama bin Laden is planning a new attack inside the United States, this is certain," he tells Simon in the interview conducted in Yemen earlier this month.
It's been long speculated that bin Laden is hiding in the tribal areas of Pakistan, but Abu Jandal says Afghanistan is the place. "Not Pakistan. I know the Pakistani tribe along the border very well. Yes, they can be very trustworthy and faithful to their religion and ideology, but they are also capable of selling information for nothing," he says.
Even if found, bin Laden will not be captured, says Abu Jandal, whho says the al-Qaeda leader gave him the authority to kill him if he was surrounded. "If he was going to be captured, Sheik Osama prefers to be killed than captured," he tells Simon. "There was a special gun to be used if Sheik Osama bin Laden was attacked and we were unable to save him, in which case I would have to kill him," says Abu Jandal.
The closest the Americans came to getting bin Laden before 9/11, recounts Abu Jandal, was the U.S. missile attack on al-Qaeda training camps near Khost, Afghanistan -- a retaliatory strike for the al-Qaeda bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998. It was luck that saved him the night before the strike. "There was a fork in the road," remembers Abu Jandal, "one road leading to Khost and the training camps and another one leading to Kabul. I was with Sheik Osama in the same vehicle with three guards... he turned to us and said, 'Khost or Kabul?' We told him, 'Let's just visit Kabul.' Sheik Osama said, "Okay, Kabul.'" So the missile strike the next day failed to get bin Laden, but the man they think provided information that led to it was discovered. "It was the Afghan cook," said Abu Jandal. He says he would have killed the man who betrayed bin Laden himself, but bin Laden forgave him and sent him home. "Sheik Osama even gave him money and told him, 'Go provide for your children.'"

US to test 700-tonne explosive
The US military plans to detonate a 700 tonne explosive charge in a test called "Divine Strake" that will send a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas, a senior defense official said.
"I don't want to sound glib here but it is the first time in Nevada that you'll see a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas since we stopped testing nuclear weapons," said James Tegnelia, head of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Tegnelia said the test was part of a US effort to develop weapons capable of destroying deeply buried bunkers housing nuclear, chemical or biological weapons.
"We have several very large penetrators we're developing," he told defense reporters.
"We also have -- are you ready for this - a 700-tonne explosively formed charge that we're going to be putting in a tunnel in Nevada," he said.
"And that represents to us the largest single explosive that we could imagine doing conventionally to solve that problem," he said.
The aim is to measure the effect of the blast on hard granite structures, he said.
"If you want to model these weapons, you want to know from a modeling point of view what is the ideal best condition you could ever set up in a conventional weapon -- what's the best you can do.
"And this gets at the best point you could get on a curve. So it allows us to predict how effective these kinds of weapons ... would be," he said.
He said the Russians have been notified of the test, which is scheduled for the first week of June at the Nevada test range.
"We're also making sure that Las Vegas understands," Tegnelia said.

>> I am beginning to feel more and more helpless <<
Don't you dare to that JP! Never! You are NOT helpless. You are keeping informed. That's more than most. While no one can stop this INVASION, we CAN and WILL take steps to protect ourselves and our families.
Channel 4 news in DC just reported that again today more than 1,000 students protested. Our spineless 'leaders' will continue to let this INVASION continue.
PREPARE folks. This is going to get nasty.

Your right it's going to get nasty my dear friend, these teens are not playing, I am listening to the scanner and in our worse latino gang infested Humboldt Park, they are building up violence, these students are going to be the downfall

Truly scary backhoe. I've had to steel myself to the possibility that in addition to the AQ thread I may have to defend myself and my buddy's family from violent mobs of rioting ILLEGAL immigrants.
Thank you for bring to my attention the possibility that AQ could use these protests to their advantage. The illegals block the streets and AQ cells start popping off IEDs.
V, you have good instincts and there is a reason your clinging to this story, please follow that through!

Armed officers swooped on a car park at the site last night and arrested four men under the Terrorism Act. The men - aged 24, 26, 27 and 30 - from Stafford, remain in police custody.
The 28-year-old, whose condition staff were concerned about, was moved to another hospital for specialist treatment.
anti-terror legislation had been used to detain the men so officers could investigate "a complex set of circumstances".
"This is a very sensitive police investigation and therefore we cannot comment further at this stage."

Mexican flag flies over Chasewood North in Jupiter . . . at least for now
The Stars and Stripes have been replaced by the Mexican flag at Chasewood North, and residents of the condominium community off Central Boulevard are puzzled as to who made the switch.
"I woke up Sunday morning and looked up from my patio and then realized that the American flag wasn't on the flagpole," said Sue Miller a Chasewood North board member. "What captured my attention were the colors at first I thought it was an Italian flag, but one of our residents said it was the Mexican flag.
"I went to the flagpole, to see if the American flag was maybe on the ground, but they took it, and they cut the rope to get the American flag down and the Mexican flag up as well."

Flooding likely as Glenda batters WA coast
Residents in the Western Australian coastal town of Onslow are feeling the full brunt of cyclone Glenda as it crosses the state's Pilbara coast.
The Weather Bureau's Grant Elliot says Onslow has received 140 millimetres of rain in two hours.
"That's an incredible amount of rain so there's obviously going to be significant flooding issues through there," he said.
