On a 10 kiloton EMP is effective for almost 3 miles from incident
damage to ALL buildings for appox 6 city blocks in EACH direction
it would produce firestorm winds of appox 373 mph
several hundred thousands would be killed
the crater would be appox 60 ft across and 30 ft deep
for appox 12 1/2 mi downwind there will be life threatening radiation levels
anything less than 18 1/2 mi you need to find shelter FAST
for 93 mi + downwind would continue dangerous amounts of fallout
I don't know about anyone but put this way it is Beyond Sobering!
That's interesting.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Minneapolis police say robbers shot a 25-year-old man Saturday night, even though he and his family cooperated with their demands. The victim is now fighting for his life at a Twin Cities hospital.
The shooting happened near Girard Avenue and 31st Street in Uptown Minneapolis. Ronald Barry's apartment window was just 60 feet from the scene.
"I was watching TV and I heard the shots and lady screaming," Barry says. "I called 911 and ran to their aid, and there was obviously nothing I could do for the guy. It was a horrible sight."
The victim was with his mother, sister and a friend Saturday night. They had just finished eating dinner at a restuarant near Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue, and they were walking south on Girard Avenue to get to their car.
Police say two young males approached them and demanded the mom's purse. She gave it to them, but the robbers still shot her son.
"I heard a pop, pop, and a lady went, 'Oh no!'" says one witness who didn't wish to be identified.
The suspects escaped, possible in a white car, police say. Police do not have a detailed description of the suspects.
Police say the victim had critical injuries. Barry thinks he was shot in the head.
"It was very brutal and it was uncalled for," he says."
Police say there was no struggle before the shooting.
"Usually when the purse is given up, or even if the purse is not given up, we haven't had any that have been shot," says Inspector Kris Arneson with the Minneapolis Police Department."

'Swarmer,' Other Ops Net Weapons, Terror Suspects in Iraq
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, March 18, 2006 Iraqi security forces and U.S. servicemembers participating in Operation Swarmer and other combined operations continued to capture hidden terrorist weapons caches, while detaining and processing terrorist suspects yesterday, military officials in Iraq reported.
Operation Swarmer, an ongoing, methodical search of a 10-mile-by-10-mile area in the Samarra region, has netted six weapons caches and roughly 50 terrorist suspects, officials said. The weapons caches included mortar rounds, rocket-propelled grenades, rockets, artillery rounds and a significant amount of other bomb-making materials for improvised explosive devices.
Seventeen of the roughly 50 detainees were released after questioning and the others remain in custody.
No casualties were reported among Iraqi security forces or coalition units, officials said.
Operation Swarmer was based upon intelligence derived primarily from Iraqi security forces and is being conducted by Iraqi army troops, Ministry of the Interior commandos and U.S. forces. About 850 Iraqi soldiers and commandos are leading the effort, along with more than 600 U.S. soldiers from the Task Force Band of Brothers, officials said.
Meanwhile, five suspected terrorists were detained and a cache was discovered in a soccer field during a joint search operation near Balad yesterday, officials reported. The cordon-and-search operation was designed to disrupt and stymie insurgent activity.
Spearheading the operation were Iraqi soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division and U.S. troops with the 1-8 Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Task Force Band of Brothers.
Two of the five areas searched produced detainees or contraband, and one four suspected terrorists were found at one of those sites.
At the other site, a soccer field, troops found a cache and the fifth suspected terrorist, who they took into custody. The cache included Soviet .50 caliber rifles, Soviet anti-aircraft guns, AK-47 rifles, PKC machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, RPG rounds, mortars, rockets, C4 explosives, hand grenades, mines and other IED-making materials, officials said.
The five detainees were taken to a secured location for further questioning.

Me too. I have a hard time understanding how thousands of American citizens can be exposed to virulent diseases due to the nonchalant "deal with it" attitude of our nation's medical community and a government that seems to be disinterested in keeping it's people healthy with any degree of urgency - knowing full well the illegals are bringing in third world country diseases and infecting us.
To make matters worse, the illegals get free medical treatment while many of us live without health insurance and do not seek medical care because we cannot afford medical treatment.
Thanks for the ping!
