That's an attractive menagerie you have there, Xenalyte. I especially like your Boston. My son, who also has "Penny the Pug", got a Boston puppy last year. What a couple of characters those dogs are! Looks like yours has real personality. :-)

Without pain, we wouldn't be all that God wants us to be. His strength shines brightest through human weakness.

Amen. Thank you for your Faithfulness to our Christ in Posting these, Mr. Mayor.

I saw your photo before you had it removed. Such a sweet cat. They sure have perfected the art of sleeping, haven't they?....both guys AND cats! LOL

BTW, I use photoshop which has a feature that allows you to "optimize" your photos/graphics. It's amazing, in most cases, how reducing the file size of a photo doesn't necessarily reduce the quality to the naked eye, unless you go way too far, of course. I think probably all photo editing programs give you the ability to reduce the file size - it's just a matter of figuring out how to do it. I haven't used anything except photoshop, so I'm not able to be much help.

I just LOVE his tail.

Sure looks tightly kinked...like a Pug's. I tried to unkink my son's pug's tail....it's not possible - and she didn't like it one bit. LOL.

LouieWolf gave it to me. I wouldn't have the first idea how to make one myself. I have dabbled in animations, but only enough to become thoroughly frustrated.

Love your pets!...Left TRubble and Diva..T is ao much larger than Diva now! He is snuggly and BIG..Diva is blue eyed but it doesn't show here. We are doctoring her left eye right now and giving antibiotics. She injured it and we are trying to save it.

Checking in! This made a great thread to rerun, dutchess - I had forgotten some of these adorable pictures and their accompanying descriptions!

Lori, hoping you will repost the picture from #3.

Pinging Louie to this post because I know he has mentioned a great (free, I think!) site for compressing graphics before. I didn't keep the link because I always use my software programs.

I will always love this picture.

Yes, but he seems to have control over it. The tail also relaxes when he sleep....almost completely unfurls.

I have come across one that you can do that writing on the net but it gives their website address on it as below which in a way ruins the graphic. I would like to get a simple program that could do that (without costing a fortune and fairly easy to operate) but as yet no luck.

Photobucket shrinks the picture way too much. I need to reduce the # of bytes. I was shrinking the size of the pics before posting, but the byte size was still huge.

Yes, I think that Amy, who uses PhotoBucket, said they have a MAXIMUM width OR height of 500 pixels. But any physical size up to that is okay and they don't alter it.

On the other hand, tinypic.com has a maximum BYTE size of 250k that they will host, but the physical size as far as I know has no limits.

"...I could not get the whole thing in one photo so I had to take 2 photos instead."

All can relate to that senario if they've taken full rainbow pics, for sure! One shot or two, it comes across as wonderous!

Some Presidential Pets

President Gerald Ford (1974-77) gives his golden retriever, Liberty, some attention in the Oval Office.

Amy Carter, daughter of Jimmy Carter (1977-81), holds her Siamese cat, Misty Malarky Ying Yang.

President George H. W. Bush (1989-93) walks onto the White House lawn with his Springer Spaniel, Millie, and Millie's new puppies. One of the puppies is Spot, President George W. Bush's dog, that returned to the White House in 2001 and sadly died in February 2004.
