SEATTLE -- Former President Jimmy Carter criticized the war in Iraq on Wednesday, urging a troop drawdown as the United States enters its fourth year of conflict in Iraq.
"It was a completely unnecessary war. It was an unjust war," said Carter, the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize winner. "It was initiated on the basis of false pretenses. All of those are true, but we can't just pre-emptively withdraw."

Why should we listen to anything this man says after his response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, which ultimately led to the Taliban, was TO BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS. Way to go, Jimmy. Go away. BS, had the UN, France, Germany and Russia not been screwing us over, we would have been in there 11 months earlier and gotten WMDs.
Nobody ever said they never existed, only that they were not there by the time we went in.
Even known things the UN had tagged were gone, so lots of foul play in action on this whole issue.
